In Mac, KeyChain passw manager can store TOTP secret too, so its just three clicks instead of one/two :)
Why not using Safari? There is Wipr, not uBO but good enough. And you will get Private Relay.
Apps in official store should work with the permissions approved by the store. The “should” is enforced by the store.
Btw, there is hidden Safari setting in iOS, under Advanced at the bottom, “Privacy Preserved Ad Measurement” that was on, for some weird reason. And check and purge Website Data periodically.
Oh, and use iCloud Private Relay. A must.
Next morning Facebook removes its app from Apple Store and directs users to sideload the app, because it needs those sweet permissions that were denied before.
I want the user to see what albums are there and be able to play individual albums because I separated each album per folder.
m3u playlist is a all-in-one-list thing, right?
I need to tell the recipient how to play it. Obvious instruction will be to use VLC app.
But when I try to replicate the usage on my Mac, I do not see Open Folder action. If I "Open File" and select the root folder, VLC populates playlist with songs from the first subfolder (album) and user does not see any other folders (albums).
Who designs software like this? I do get it is free, and I'm not entitled, but question still stands... Is there a better standalone music player, that shows actual subfolders in GUI?
If I open a folder, I expect to see in the left panel my opened folder and expandable tree with all subfolders. So I can click-select any subfolder and press Play button.
Today, when the context is service provider and customers, "plain text" is used to say that service provider has the data unencrypted.
You assume that people with high income/education have less common sense. Correct?
MacOS Big Sur broke support for high refresh rate external displays for Intel Macs. It was the DSC feature of HDMI/DP protocols, 4 years ago. Everyone that had it working at 4k@144Hz in MacOS Catalina, got only 60Hz in Big Sur and later.
Apple Support / Engineering department had me to install Catalina, show that 4k@144Hz actually works, got a ton of diagnostic data and came back with "you may downgrade to Catalina as a solution" LOL
Wrote to Tim Cook, with case number and, wait for it, MacOS Sonoma had it fixed!
Disagree. The message says “fault tolerance”, meaning you deploy same things in different clouds. Which brings back to my original post - TF does not help with this, as jen20 said - very different resource models.
And chasing where the var value actually came from in TF drove me mad few times!
Not sure about this. Here is what official site says:
"Provisioning infrastructure across multiple clouds increases fault tolerance, allowing for more graceful recovery from cloud provider outages."
My bad, I did not define meaning of multi-cloud. I meant using AWS and GCP at the same time, doing mostly the same things, for redundancy and no lock-in.
Still I prefer native IaaC tools, it is simpler, faster and more reliable. I'm AWS guy, so Cloudformation for all things infra. It irks me when I see Terraform doing AWS infra. I jump in to rewrite it as first matter of business, lol
> The controversial worldviews such as multi-cloud that we founded this company on are now mainstream and broadly accepted.
Emm .. no. It is not mainstream. Multi-cloud may be forced choice for some regulated fintech, but no sane project will double the infra codebase just to get from "lock-in". I see no other benefits. And double the codebase is quadruple the bugs. This is main Terraform's sales pitch, and it has to die. IMHO.
