nrbafna··on No, really, pi is wrong: The Tau Manifesto (Tau Day, 2010)
That's omega in its minuscule form. I was referring to its majuscule one.
nrbafna··on No, really, pi is wrong: The Tau Manifesto (Tau Day, 2010)
How about "omega" as the symbol? 1) It wont bother the physicists as much as tau. 2) Omega has a circular shape which makes it a 'natural' choice for the circle constant.
nrbafna··on Android vs. iPhone: How Google is winning hearts of developers
Is direct comparisons of download numbers the correct measure? The iPhone has nearly three times as much users as of Android and a greater lure of larger returns.
nrbafna··on Android vs. iPhone: How Google is winning hearts of developers
True. Considering that one can develop android app on any machine but iPhone SDK requires Mac OS (else they can't be published to the app store).

I suppose, Apple has lost a lot of hearts after the series of close-structured and seemingly unfair app store policies. Though the fairness could be debated and a different issue altogether.

nrbafna··on Ask HN: What programming language do I use?
Golang. Is it fully developed. Plus, while learning, one requires an extensive developer community, wjich might be another hindrance.
nrbafna··on Ask HN: What programming language do I use?
already into php, js (and jquery), actionscript with mxml in flex and flashbuilder. Programming not about apps either. What i meant was core programming, to execute "complex algorithms".
nrbafna··on Ask HN: Is iphone 4's gyroscope magical?
That clears my doubts on the gyroscope. This does open ground for a lot of innovation.

nrbafna··on Download to the Cloud?
Honestly, i didn't of the temp part. Ignorance on my part.

New question. So, could there a be mechanism to skip temp altogether?

Also, with chrome plugin to view document attachment straightaway in Google Docs, will it do the same thing? That will make the trivial, nonetheless, slightly convenient.

There seems to be an time-zone delay between the comments :)

nrbafna··on Download to the Cloud?
So, how about Expansion?
nrbafna··on For Ubuntu, With Love.
but, still as end-user and web-developer and designer, i would love to be able run CS natively on ubuntu. and, i bet there are a lot more. well, if the market for ubuntu expands, wouldn't adobe want to develop products for linux too? and, why will it port it for free. ubuntu it free, doesn't mean all applications on it have to be.

+1 on "people who can't buy a Mac run Linux. People who can't install Linux run Windows. People who know what they're doing - ride anything the way they want.".

nrbafna··on For Ubuntu, With Love.
A blog post on what Ubuntu needs from an average end-user's point of view.
