YT doesn't squeeze video creators, so he will not squeeze musicians.
Even if YT did, they would be free to move to another platform.
Yup, I don't mean minimum or maximum, but exactly 8 characters.
That's got to make brute-forcing about 1,000,000 times easier, and I cannot think of a single good reason to impose this.
I bet huge numbers are "12345678" and "password".
The thing is that if you build 2, 3, 100, you'll find yourself doing the same stuff over and over again (and always better than the previous time, so that you'll want to replace all your old code, which is now obsolete), and that's when frameworks are useful.
I've had to update some software than used it for some reason (there were just a handful of records, it was a super-small app) and compared to MySQL I only found that I couldn't easily find a good GUI tool to look at the database (I use Sequel Pro for MySQL, which is absolutely great). I found Postico and I was never able to export the whole DB.
(I'm not saying PostgreSQL isn't better, I just have no idea why).
They only care about standards when they're basically forced to adopt/support them, or they're their own.
These are the same guys that:
- use lightning instead of mini USB
- removed the headphone jack
- are creating yet another proprietary connector for accessories
- don't allow their OS on third-party hardware
- only allow developing for iOS from macOS
- only allow apps on iOS if you install from the App Store
- only allow their own browser engine on iOS
- etc.
Everyone wants their own standard to be the standard, if they really cared about it they would contribute to Vulkan and create WebVulkan.
