Please look at profitability. Who says Amazon doesn't make a profit?

neo4sure··on Ecuador cuts off Julian Assange's internet access at London embassy
Maybe UKIP leader Nigel Farage could make one more visit and give him a 4g Modem and then forget why he went there in the first place.
neo4sure··on Facebook, Google, your reign may soon be over
As someone looking at global warming with the appropriate fear, it seems to puzzling to me that we still don't talk about regulating the production of CO2. Tech companies will be (and should be) regulated that's for sure. But let's not take our eye off the ball.
neo4sure··on Zuckerberg and Sandberg can't be trusted to handle data leak fallout
Says the guy who told people the economy was great just before the biggest crash in history. I don't listen to this guy and never trade on his advice.
neo4sure··on Cyberattacks Put Russian Fingers on the Switch at Power Plants, U.S. Says
The more I see it the more it looks like these guys are getting ready for a war. The 2016 election hacks seem to have been a decade-long plan. I hope it never comes to this. At a time when the country is divided, we may have trouble responding.
neo4sure··on Why rural Americans are so pissed off
Yes, I am pretty sure of this based on the startups in this area. Like AI this thing will sneak up on you.
neo4sure··on Why rural Americans are so pissed off
Please note soil will not be used in verticle farms. The limiting factor is the cost of electricity. Please note the curve of the cost of electricity over time its downward trending and will eventually be closer to zero.
neo4sure··on Why rural Americans are so pissed off
In the future food will be grown closer to the city in verticle farms. When that happens what will these folks do?
neo4sure··on Russian exile Nikolai Glushkov found dead at his London home
I think people are constantly misreading Putin OBAMA included. The guy is executing his plan step by step he should not be underestimated.
neo4sure··on Russian exile Nikolai Glushkov found dead at his London home
Looks like the time has come to seriously examine how to handle this kind of behavior by Rusia. They are operating without any fear of repercussions.
neo4sure··on Questions for TSA after reports of laptop and phone searches on domestic flights
Freedom of movement was a privilege in the old soviet union. Maybe we are slowly becoming the USSR?
neo4sure··on Peter Diamandis on how Silicon Valley can make 100 the new 60

neo4sure··on U.S. Charges 13 Russians, 3 Companies for Interfering with Election
Well done finally we are doing something about this. We can't allow other countries to meddle in our elections and to get away with it. Much stronger actions may need to be taken once this administration is voted out.
neo4sure··on The FBI, CIA and NSA say American citizens shouldn't use Huawei phones
Huawei is a government sponsored entity. It will be natural for them to spy on our citizens and companies and steal their data for the betterment of China. We just have to be aware of that. Going into conspiracy theories won't help us much, we have to be clear-eyed.
neo4sure··on Why Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google Need to Be Disrupted
The articles have such misplaced attitudes. Healthcare is eating up GDP and no articles about disrupting pharmaceutical companies.

Global warming is threatening the entire world no articles about disrupting the energy industry.

Give me break.

neo4sure··on A Driver’s Suicide Reveals the Dark Side of the Gig Economy
One question no one explains is since the value of a medallion is obviously lower now why doesn't the commission have some kind our revaluation and give back money to the people who purchased it at a higher price.
neo4sure··on America Is Not a Democracy
This is my whole point, it's a messy system. You can weigh the Electoral College and Supreme court then, decide which one is more anti-democratic?
neo4sure··on America Is Not a Democracy
The author makes sense initially but towards the end seems to be attacking American institutions like the Supreme court. That was odd.

America was founded on a messy system where not everyone got what they wanted. It was always a compromise.

However, this messy system did bring us out of slavery into the modern era. Now though one of the last abominations of this messy system is causing most of the issues in the republic. I wonder why the author does not touch the subject of "Electoral College".

The "Electoral College" elected both "George Bush" and "Trump" subverting the will of the majority. The first president led us into an illegal war that enriched his corporate buddies. The second one will be judged by history.

In my opinion, until we get rid of the "Electoral College" America will never be a true democracy.

neo4sure··on Bill Nye Does Not Speak for Us and He Does Not Speak for Science
I support both the article and Bill. They both have a role to play. But Bill has to be careful not to get tainted by association. Hope he can walk this fine line.
neo4sure··on Bay Area family’s quest to create a backyard container home

Yipee. I can't wait to buy one.
neo4sure··on Bitcoin has little shot at ever being a major global currency
The whole point is not to be a major global fiat currency.
neo4sure··on Julian Assange's stay in London embassy untenable, says Ecuador
Time to introduce Assange to Muller.
neo4sure··on US Federal Ban on Making Lethal Viruses Is Lifted
Maybe your right. Keeping up with all the things they throw out on a daily basis is tiresome, and I don't have time to research all of them.
neo4sure··on GOP net neutrality bill would allow paid fast lanes and preempt state laws
This is all I need to here. "SpaceX plans worldwide satellite Internet with low latency, gigabit speed.". We have to just bid our time and wipe out an entire class of cockroach enter prices.
neo4sure··on UFO spotted by US fighter jet pilots
NIce distraction while the biggest tax overhaul for a long time is steamrolling over. Maybe we can ask the aliens to pay off our debt.
neo4sure··on 2 Navy Airmen and an Object That ‘Accelerated Like Nothing I’ve Ever Seen’
Nice distraction. When so many other frightening issues are all around us.
neo4sure··on F.C.C. Repeals Net Neutrality Rules
I think the cable guys just awakened the sleeping giant. By making sure they can tighten the screws on Silicon Valley they have spawned out a multitude of startups that will topple them one day. The cable companies make money by making something scarce. They will milk every penny of their investment and give it back to the investors without much reinvesting it back to create cheaper broadband for the masses. Silicon Valley’s whole business model is based on cheap access to the internet that's why google Facebook etc is investing so much to connect the third world. I believe they were hedging against net neutrality dying someday. I can't imagine after winning the first battle they took a timeout. The investments in the 3rd world internet may ultimately lead to newer cheaper ways to connect the world. Cabel companies clocks started to run out the day they attacked net neutrality. Let's see how they survive in about 10 years’ time.
neo4sure··on The Great American Share – Sam Altman Interview on Basic Income
"Last I checked, welfare does the opposite of this. It helps people merely subsist, not strive for greatness."

Do you have an alternative for UBI? If so please provide you theory and factual data to support that will help people "strive for greatness"?
