nej··on Show HN: We made a low-budget ‘how it works’ video. What do you think?
Good promo video. I clicked through after I saw the cookie. Nothing like eating a cookie while someone else does your laundry lol.
nej··on Show HN: Run iOS apps in the browser
I missed it since the first thing I did after seeing the demo was click Sign Up.

I can't tell what the difference between the Pro and Business package is other than the price. Can you clarify? Cool idea btw.
nej··on Skeuocard
Doesn't seem to be working using the keyboard numpad.

nej··on Intro to JS Web Workers
Multi-threaded JavaScript sounds so dreamy
nej··on Why Finnish babies sleep in cardboard boxes
Title of this article sounds a lot worst than what the article presents (thankfully). This is off topic, but as refreshing as this article is, I wonder how many readers avoided reading this due to the title as it could've been a very depressing article.
nej··on Show HN: WideArea – an expandable textarea
I'd like this if the back button resized the textarea back to it's normal size.
nej··on JQuery Annotated Source
This is great.

I miss site counters... Said no one ever... Felt a bit nostalgic after I saw the ALL CAP HTML tags
nej··on Three.js editor
Great find, this is excellent.
nej··on Show HN: BiggestPriceDrop.com
Pretty cool site. I can see myself using this in the future.

Some opinions: - Grid view - As a shopper, I feel like this is a must. I want to see as many products as possible with as little interaction with the page as possible. Right now on my Macbook Pro laptop I'm only able to view one product at a time, which gets rather annoying even before finishing the first page.

Some other notes:

To me the most important thing when viewing a product is:

- Picture of the product

- % / $ off (in this scenario)

- Price of product

- Short description of the product (name, brand, etc.)

The following seem excessive:

- Worst price and best price (It's an overwhelming amount of information to see when I'm not even sure if I like this product).

- Category tree (I don't see a need for this)

But overall I like this idea. Great job.

nej··on Firefox: Why we won’t enable Do-Not-Track by default
You can't just keep adding prompts every time there's a change, you'll end up creating a scenario where there must be a prompt for every change made. Default settings are needed just like any application.
nej··on Harlem Shake JavaScriptifed
This just made my day, great job.
nej··on Common JavaScript Gotchas
Highly recommend reading "JavaScript: The Good Parts" by Douglas Crockford, it's an excellent book.
nej··on Web Development: A Crazy World
Architecture is not as important if you're building an app that will scale slowly. But if you're betting on scalability to make money, then the story is very different.

nej··on Show HN: My Weekend Hack - Stack-Ed: Learn from the best on StackOverflow
Great tool thanks a lot for this! Some things I found while browsing on my iPad:

- Viewing this on an iPad and the third Q/A column is not on the same level as the rest of the columns and is pushed down.

- Titles are cutoff with no way of seeing the full title even if I click on the question.

- Title overlaps # viewed and # created.

nej··on So you think you can tell Arial from Helvetica?
Got a 18 out of 20. To me Arial looks a bit informal when compared to Helvetica. While Helvetica has level edges, Arial feels more loose and forgiving. I use both fonts in Applications but never really looked at them up close until now. Thank your or this test.
nej··on A New Look for Facebook
It looks like nice, but where would the "Find singles around your area" ads go :)
