namidark··on Mac OS X 10.8.1 is out.
Does anyone know if this fixes missing icons? My MBP 2011 will come up with the wifi or other random icons hidden (I can still click on where they 'would' be and it'll show me the wifi networks, for instance)...

namidark··on Tell, don't ask
They add (at least in Ruby) a few lines of code to a program; and take things like Email out of the User model and put them in a more appropriate place.

namidark··on $199 Brings Google Knowledge Graph in Reach of Hackers and Startups
Seem's like it might be a better model to charge per # of fact usages (similar to EC2 hourly usage, DB queries, etc)?

namidark··on [dead]
What crack pipe is he smoking? He used someone else's example code to implement facial recognition (and their API too presumably) and then thinks HE would've been the one to profit, and not the algorithm makers?
namidark··on Java Leads Programming Language Popularity, by books sold?
I can't tell the difference between Ruby, VBA, Perl, and SQL at first glance... instead I have to count columns and figure out where a language is
namidark··on Bitcoinica lost customer database, has no up to date record of trading balances
Except banks are FDIC insured.
namidark··on Kickstarter for a JavaScript top level domain (.js TLD)
Where on earth do you see JS jumping to the kernel? If C++ wasn't cut for it what makes you think JS is?
namidark··on MIT’s Non-Stick Coating Keeps Ketchup Flowing
Without the slippery coating though you end up with either that slamming motion or a toothpaste tube effect
namidark··on Zedshaw/Tir

namidark··on Giving.github.com
You must be confused by every blog on Github then.
namidark··on Giving.github.com
Awesome idea but I'm interested in the execution, have you or anyone done any of these projects before and can speak on how it works with these charities?

namidark··on Turntable.fm: Where Did Our Love Go?

namidark··on Introducing the New GitHub Graphs
Until you send it large data sets (and this applies to any client side rendering) and it uses 100% of a core and causes the browser to hang (go checkout the rails or other large graph pages on github)... There has to be better solutions out there that Github could use
namidark··on Why Erlang?
I'm curious to know what type of CPU & Memory utilization there was on the ruby backends vs the erlang backends between the two games
namidark··on Looking for constructive criticism on our Pingdom Killing Start-up
The initial page load and scrolling back up to the top is extremely laggy, not sure what your doing behind the scenes buts its bad in Chrome on dual i7's
namidark··on Testing like the TSA
What a bunch of hogwash; 1000 lines of code to to test validates_presence_of? What testing framework is he using? x86 assembler?

The only part I agree about is the view testing and partially cucumber.

Then again I dont think 37s has a large amount of business logic to test (compared to some of the other commenters in here) and their testing is mostly front end, and testing front end ajax-y stuff with cucumber, does indeed suck.
