nader··on [dead]
This is weird, it seems they were completely removed. I found others and updated the post (http://www.etsy.com/listing/86280923/android-macbook-decal-s...)
nader··on Ask HN: Freelancer? Seeking freelancer? (August 2011)
do you want to come to berlin? :)
nader··on Thinkery now has Bulk-Edit
indeed, a couple of other features were released as well.
nader··on Ask HN: How could you claim a Facebook URL, if you have the trademark?
The best would be to contact facebook and provide them with more information like trademark proof, website url, etc.

There was a similar case in the past: http://techcrunch.com/2010/01/23/facebook-vanity-url-harman/

nader··on Show HN: Bootstrapped, Not Profitable *Yet*, & Proud: Pagify
I just tried this out for http://thinkery.me and it's pretty cool. An option to change the color scheme would be great.

Here's the facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/thinkery?sk=app_141947329155355

nader··on Ask HN: Please give us feedback on our (anti-social) tool thinkery.me
Thanks for your feedback, lots of what you've written sounds very good. We'll put it on our list.

First we need to fix some bugs though. Did you get the error when you hit register or at another point?

nader··on Ask HN: Please give us feedback on our (anti-social) tool thinkery.me
Thanks HN community. Your feedback was very valuable to us and awesome!
nader··on Ask HN: Please give us feedback on our (anti-social) tool thinkery.me
At the moment you need to set a thing "public" then copy&paste the link into Facebook. We're gonna introduce FB-Share/Like and Tweethis-Button soon. Is that what you meant/wanted?
nader··on Ask HN: Please give us feedback on our (anti-social) tool thinkery.me
I thought that would be funny but it seems I'm the only one, so gonna change that into something more meaningful. Sorry if you were offended by it :/
nader··on Ask HN: Please give us feedback on our (anti-social) tool thinkery.me
Wow, long e-mail address :) Gonna fix that, btw you can check thinkery without registering by simply typing something into the input field.
nader··on Ask HN: Please give us feedback on our (anti-social) tool thinkery.me
One more thing: I'm also using it for things like a shopping list where you can add a sentence with hashtag (like on twitter) and it automatically generates a tag out of it for you to filter.

Didn't check out Licorize yet but from a first impression this looks a bit different with the "projects" and "todos" ... or maybe i don't understand it fully.

Did you check out the content extraction, instant-search or posting a youtube url for example?

Thanks for the feedback.

nader··on Ask HN: Please give us feedback on our (anti-social) tool thinkery.me
No need to say sorry, thanks a lot for the feedback! We haved tested the site on Firefox 3.6 for Mac, Chrome and Safari. Unfortunately there goes the cross-browser-madness again because it's different on all systems.

You can try it out without registering if the main input field works, it's got lazy registration :)

nader··on Ask HN: How reliable is PhoneGap to develop Native Apps?
We just completed a Titanium-based-App for iOS and Android and are much more happy with the result than we would have been with PhoneGap, what we used earlier for apps. Titanium is not only more powerful and speedier but also makes development cleaner and flexible.
nader··on Ask HN: Facebook Group for company
"right" in the sense that within facebook there might be too much distraction and posting "secret" stuff into Facebook is also not ideal.
nader··on "Cool Code Contest" - Win an AR.Drone. Honoring 10/10/10 @ 10:10:10
If you're wondering what AR.Drone is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgqmJyFpWDM&feature=fvw
nader··on What happens when you refuse to answer a passport control officer's questions
I thought I had problems when travelling to San Francisco's Web 2.0 Expo this year but I never thought customs officers would make you as US Citizen problems. Crazy!
nader··on 10/10/10 @ 10:10:10 AM+PM: What will you do?
I wonder if anybody noticed this date and what you will do during that time. Party?
nader··on 10/10/10 @ 10:10:10 AM+PM: What will you do?
Somebody told me it's binary 42. Even more nerdy :)
nader··on Show HN: My <canvas>-based, Photoshop-esque JavaScript color picker
very nice! the only thing missing is adjusting the values with the keyboard cursor like in photoshop. Arrow-up: 1% more, Arrow-Shift-Up: 10% more
nader··on Ask HN: Where do you host your webapp?
Using a couple of dedicated root servers from hetzner => http://www.hetzner.de/en/ don't know exactly how the connection to the usa is but around europe it's super fast...and cheaper than aws, slicehost or similar.
nader··on Open Calais Semantic Web Search Tool
Open Calais is already around for some time and evolved greatly. It's especially interesting when you input text about the BP Oil Spill.
nader··on An iPhone, drawn entirely with CSS3
This is a great showcase for what's possible! I have slight graphic issues (harsh borders) on my iPad. Anybody experiencing the same?
nader··on How important is site design?
When you're looking at sites like reddit, hacker news and others which don't have a great/nicely looking user interface you would think it's not that important. But I think it also depends on the target group. For consumer-oriented, less internet savy people websites it is essential to have an appealing professional looking design, great usability, ease-of-use and optimised text.

So to answer your question I would release an early messier version to a closed group of beta users, ie. early adopters but before pushing onto the mass market I'd clean it up.

nader··on Here's why you should not buy a Drobo
A couple of years ago when I was looking for a NAS for our office the choice was between a Drobo and ReadyNAS from Netgear. Although Drobo had so many recommendations and good feedback I thought I'd rather go with a weller-known company like Netgear. The ReadyNas isn't the greatest but solid, quite fast and reliable. I'm happy about the decision.

We're increasingly using our own custom debian linux box now with SMB shares, backups with duplicity, Apache / Lighty and so on. It just allows for more flexibility.

nader··on Stephen Colbert makes Bing donate $100K for oil spill
Awesome episode :)
nader··on Ask HN: Who's hiring in Europe?
German is a plus but our team speaks English. Just hadn't had time and resources to make our website multi-language.

nader··on IE6 Funeral too early? Stats of German Websites
yes it always depends on the target group, ie. if the website is for developers or "normal customers"
