There are many examples of successful single-person startups (forgetting a recent example of a person who ran SaaS product single-handedly for over 4 years and then expanded). However, you can only bootstrap like that. To grow bigger, eventually will have to hire people - which means money, which means either VC or customer - which means tonnes of work in building products/building relationship/shipping product etc. I guess, if startup success rate was 1% then solo-founder startup success rate must be 0.01%.
1. Try something different, new. However, it should not be complex, at least not to start with.
1. If that doesn't hooks you, pick a small trivial, meaningless utility to write in whatever framework you are comfortable with. It is important not to overshoot - really just pick a "meaningless" and simple task.
1. If that doesn't work, pick some small utility from a blog/video where full code is available (many examples here - https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=16591918). Write whole code again, copying line by line. As you start getting involved, stop copying and start thinking how you would write the next function, or what optimization you'd do for current function, etc.
1. If that also doesn't work, take a break. Don't think about programming at all in that break, that's important.
1. If that doesn't work either, start looking into other roles/domains and what might suit your background and strengths. As I mentioned earlier, may be you are ready for the change :)

Obviously, RedHat, SuSe Canonical, Microsoft, Apple, AMD, Intel, firmware and embedded companies will always need kernel people. However, the demand has really gone down and it is no more considered "elite" team within companies. Jobs are still there but obviously teams lean towards hiring experts and veterans of kernel instead of new comers. Moreover, once you get over simple char driver and few lines of patch type stuff, kernel development is extremely complex and hard. You wont get much support either as very likely your problem will be unique to your company's hardware. So, my take - learn and do kernel stuff on side but avoid getting into it full-time unless you are really passionate about it.
1. Don't act immediately (no matter how urgent matter seems to be).
2. When in doubt, check with someone you trust (and first reaction should be 'doubt').
Beyond that, any of following are worthy of being flagged as scam automatically -
1. Call/email from IRS or any other government agency
2. Easy money offers
3. (unfortunately) Anyone asking for help, specifically involving money, that too urgently
4. Anyone asking for password, SSN, financial record acess
Bottomline is that in online world, start point should be doubt followed by questions which help build your trust.
"BULLSHIT. .... Don't speak of tolerance." It is infact you who is full of shit. India has given citizenship to different demographics based on time and need - people from China (Tibet), Sri Lanka, even Rohingyas. Currently, it needs to give citizenship to Islamic neighboring countries due to immense persecution they faced. Tomorrow special clause can be made for Amhadiyas from Pak too, if situation arises. But today it is minorities from these three countries. Pesudo liberals like yourself dont spend a minute in shedding tears about minorities elsewhere. But if India takes an action, then "why only minorities?".
So much of misconception is being fed by people like you about NRC. Have you even read what is NRC? How will government ascertain who is on the list? What process can be followed if one wants to challenge the list? Your questions and misinformation suggests, you haven't! But, heck! I'm ready with my pitchfork, because it's much easier to be internet warrior than do any homework. Do you know that even Hindus will be excluded in NRC list? Do you know that despite CAA, any person from any country, irrespective of caste/creed/religion can still apply for citizenship or asylum to India? Do you know people who'll be given citizenship, they are poorest of poor? Have you seen the squalid condition they currently live in?
"BJP has become militantly anti-muslim." Do you know BJP has massive support of Muslims in many areas of India? I'm sure you'd argue that EVM was hacked there. Do you know BJP's first nominated president was a muslim? BJP has many spokesperson, ministers, office-bearers who are muslims? I'm sure they are brainwashed, isn't it? Do you know NRC list was proposed much before BJP came to power? Do you know earlier governments of Congress and even Gandhi were proponents of providing citizenship to religion based persecuted people from India's neighboring countries?
"They never thought this through at all, did they?" Nope! Only you did! because everyone but you is a moron, right? None of your arguments were supported by any actual proof, just repeating lies. Should have thrown in words like fascist, hitler, nazi too and you sure would have gotten some TV/media coverage, if that's what your goal was. Very shameful of you!
1. Due to communist style of functioning, setting up a business is near impossibility. I know friends who moved their business out of state since its marred with strikes.

2. It is fast becoming Islamic state of India.

3. Infrastructure seems to be dated (single lane road for most part of state) and floods wreak havoc every year.
Tagged as "God's own country" I expect much better from Kerala. However, I always find cliched "most educated" state remarks and self-pat on back without perusing its problems and what is happening to state.
It'll be quality of hire. Eventually, hiring company does culture/personality fit but can also do some quick filtering (and hopefully not full-fledged interview) to ascertain the quality. Same would apply for trust too. Eventually, it's in 3P's benefit to have good process as there would be multiple players.
The way I read it, discovery is not "behavior is reflection of environment" but how to create a good environment.
