You are correct. Let me rephrase my statement: what I see attributed to sanewashing falls in the projection category.

The previous silicon valley giants were to a large degree followers of Ayn Rand. This society selects, grooms and idealises a certain psychological profile.

Psychological projection is a very apt choice, thank you for that. I’ve read a lot of people referring to “sanewashing” when the media tries to explain the mechanism behind the madness but this captures it much better.

But … insta is owned by meta

Having worked in a (now defunct) US co in West-EU I can say it’s a subtle blend of the two. The layoff was announced, shortly after a few people received a call by HR, were escorted to their desk by security and had to turn in all company belongings on the spot. They were not allowed to touch a computer or telephone and were then escorted out of the premises. Afterwards, we learned that they had received a severance package that met local rules.

Most of my colleagues were shocked by the treatment. Moral took a dive after that.

Any recommendations for tea brands/products?

Bunny reported on rebinning a decade or so ago. He also talked about “ghost lines”, a crew would run a batch but not register it in the paperwork.

has band pass filters around the ham bands, so you’ll lose sensitivity the further you get from a ham band in general.

Thank you, was looking for this.

I can’t find this in the spec: does it tune continuously from 160 to 50m or only in the ham bands?
