Saudi Arabia has always had a history of sectarianism and uprisings like the 1970 Qatif Uprising[1]. While they can deal with their internal problems, I am hoping that without oil funding, Wahhabism will calm down elsewhere.
The pricing of hosted MongoDB solutions is high especially as volumes increase. The last I checked, disk space doesn't free up when you drop documents or collections and that adds to hosted cost unless you find time to fix the issue through manual intervention. This costing is moving us away from MongoDB in the future.
The investment an organization makes in helping junior developers get up to speed pays off in the longer run if the workplace isn't toxic. Ideas flow better when there is a difference in experience level in the team. Mentoring also helps experience people learn more as opposed to settling down in a comfort zone.
I personally am happy with subscription based applications in the App Store. I feel more confident that Apple will manage my credit card information better than unknown application developer.
How about we have satellites orbiting asteroids for a piggy back ride and then getting off the orbit when they are near a point of interest? My guess is the gravity would be too feeble.
India is fast adapting solar and it is expected to wean off coal in the next few decades. Solar, not coal, is India's future by 2030: Report - http://www.business-standard.com/article/economy-policy/sola... There is a bigger and more pressing problem with internal combustion engines. Due to the population and vehicle density, smog is a real issue in cities and the air is becoming toxic. Electric vehicles help address that issue.
I switched to one full meal a day and fruits / salads / soup for the other times. This takes care of hunger issues and helps with losing weight. Change of habit is required and it is not easy. Bariatric surgery can help, but it has it's own annoying side effects and long term (>7 years) reports aren't available widely.
I use Wine to run the 64bit Windows client of GuildWars2 on my iMac. It is more stable than the current GuildWars2 Mac client. Graphics performance isn't upto par, but I need stability more for events and dungeons. ArenaNet is still building a proper Mac client after Transgaming was taking over by NVidia.
I used to play bare bones EverQuest and World of Warcraft for a few years. I dabble with Guild Wars 2 these days. Questing and exploration is fun. When it comes to raiding and forming groups, that is where the pain starts. The time investment required is high. All games become a grind one way or another as players are able to consume content faster than developers can produce it. At least with living world, Guild Wars 2 is able to keep kindling the interest of the player base every now and then in between expansion packs.
If you execute csrutil disable && reboot, you will be able to disable System Integrity protection and do what you want including fixing /usr/bin/git. What is the problem?
The backlash is just whiney competition. Many people in India see the iPhone as a status symbol. If it is more affordable and comes with a warranty from Apple, people will buy it even if it is refurbished.
Use an special email address. In India, you can use Netbanking for making payments where the bank handles the transaction and the merchant doesn't get any of your information like card details, etc.
It would be nice if Adobe ditched or deprecated SWF in favor of HTML5 / SVG etc. Flash player has been a huge attack vector for malware and the situation hasn't improved. One thing that continues to irritate me is the extra step required to fool websites into thinking that I am accessing their videos from an iPad before they start streaming over HTML. In normal mode, they force you to install Flash and the associated risk.
Given the limited knowledge we have about space, how accurate are the assumptions that no harm will be done? We are still figuring out water on Mars and that is quite near to Earth.
This was overdue. I am fed up with websites auto launching the iTunes store to download an application or popping up another window for advertisement on the phone.
There should be some perceived value for acquisition to happen. As long as the start up was able to build that value and hence get acquired, it was definitely a success.
It is a welcome move if they are able to figure out a solution to retain quality. This problem exits more prominently in Google translate where people game the system and I guess that the translation is supposed to correct itself over a period of time with people fixing the mistake.
A meaningful life is necessary for existence of a human being. Such problems raise questions on where the line is drawn. All of the support systems and therapy don't do much to address the problem. The only hope is that medical research will make sufficient progress to be able to treat this condition in the future.
