I actually agree with her but IN REVERSE: Ultimately, it is the owners of a company who must determine whether a CEO's rewards are justified by a CEO's performance.

It is up to sharegholders to decide if a CEOs performance justifies pay, AND TO HOLD CEOs ACCOUNTABLE or shareholders should LOSE EVERYTHING.

That's what's missing here. Shareholders deserve to be wiped out, for failing to provide the required oversight of their own investmanets.

Wiping out shareholders provides the last line of defence (self responsibility) for a system that is rapidly failing at all level.

What rubbish are you reading? Tables vs css make zero difference. never has, likely never will, for all the obvious reasons (why bother? What difference does it make to users etc).

Exactly!

Removing the moral implications, rape is really bad PHYSICALLY unless the act is lubricated (the point the article makes). So a woman needs to be PHYSICALLY ready for sex, even if not EMOTIONALLY or MENTALLY willing.

That leads to a decoupling of mental and sexual desire from physical response.

Call me unPC, but that seems to fit the evidence they present!

If I could make a suggestion: Multiple cornify buttons. It is awesome fun to keep hitting the button, so more means you can have a sillier screen :)

Your problem is simple: people who do this have their own tools, have auction sites, have plans ion palce for years, all sorts of things.

Basically, your pitching a spoon to dig a hole, when the problem is solved better by an Earth mover.

Now, that isn't all bad, because noobies are better ad clickers anyway, but I doubt the tool would ever get much widespread usage (sorry!), and the effort to make it so is not going to be worth the return.

SIGH!

Should be retitled "How to alienate Hacker news"

That is GOLD!

Is the answer, everything too vague? I would say the first place to skrimp is lifestyle, and from there, build up.
