In context, the person was replying to someone who stated “I have read it all when it comes to RTO”. They stated they hadn’t seen a _blog post_ making _this point_ that RTO would cause more sickness. They were never addressing the claim that it does or does not. They were talking about the novelty of this argument for them.
The two hosts are center-right, but I think their takes are largely pretty fair. Note: Sarah Isgur worked in the Trump Justice Department but is hardly a fan of Trump… again, I find her pretty fair minded).
Congress passed an explicit law saying financial companies have to offer the ability outlined in this rule. They state the CFPB needs to make rules to enable it and now they are doing so.
This entirely fits within the current Supreme Court doctrine around regulatory agencies.
Now, that’s not to say there might not be some other constitutional objection the the law itself…
* Overall, not bad. Using React Native is far better than trying to mimic platform UI in the web, which is always terrible. * When tapping on an item on the “Feed”, the transition is made to the details _and then_ the navigation bar has a sudden title transition. This is weird. * The button in the upper left to switch between light and dark mode is nice but it should default to the system setting. It did not for me. * The Notifications tab content isn’t scrollable at all on my phone. Seems like a bug. * If you tap on an item in Notifications you navigate deeper in, but when you hit back you are back on the Feed tab.
Coming from native app development, it has the normal uncanny valley feeling that React Native gives off but for normal users they may not notice it as much.
My family are pretty regular Disneyland goers. Last year we finally made it to Disney World for the first time.
My four “kids” were between the ages of 12-23.
And I think their favorite part of the trip was the Skyliner.
“You could also use P2P to pull other broadcasters into your stream. No special configuration or servers required anymore to get sub-second co-streams.”
I currently have this setup for doing a co-stream with a friend and it is terrible:
1. Friend is running OBS to capture his gameplay. 2. Friend has OBS streaming to a Raspberry Pi I have running at my house. 3. The Raspberry Pi is running nginx configured to accept the RTMP stream. 4. I run OBS on another machine to capture my gameplay, add overlays, etc. 5. My OBS has an input source using VLC to capture the stream from the Raspberry Pi.
The setup is awful. Video is pretty delayed and it often just stops working. I would love to look into this project but after reading through the README, I am unclear how I would use this for my setup. Any pointers?
* The Emperor’s New Groove. I have no idea why I find this movie so funny. It feels just so perfectly timed, quotable and something that I relate to. I still laugh at pretty much every joke. * Defending Your Life. Very similar to the above. Albert Brooks’ dry humor is just so perfect. This one gets funnier the more times you watch it. Underrated, IMO.
If you’re going to come up with analogies, at least do something that is remotely applicable.
I then scrolled again and this time it worked. I then refreshed the page to try again but noticed that the page started already scrolled and I couldn’t get it to properly centered right.
After yet another refresh I was getting the original scrolling issue. I also noticed that when scrolling down the top portion of the screen is a solid white bar which looks out of place.
I say all this not to pick on you but I constantly see web devs talk about how great you can make a PWA but it is constantly all of these little oddities that make the experience feel so subpar compared to a native app.
