We're excited about it too! :)

Indeed we do. GitHub Enterprise 2.7 was just released yesterday:

Have you tried using GitHub Importer for any projects?

https://github.com/new/import

Let me know how it works for you; happy to provide feedback to make it easier for your purposes!

moby··on GitHub: Reorder issues in a milestone
Thanks for the request! A few of our customers have asked for the same thing, so it's in our list of feedback items and being tracked.

It'll be interesting to see how they progress on this front in the near term. I recall just a few years ago that Ford was extremely closed off with their developer toolkit on their SYNC systems; slowly, as they realize that collaborative development can take place with no impact to central functions of the vehicle's operation, they can open up the ecosystem a little bit.

That's all an ideal state, of course; reality is wrought with questions over who owns what, etc. but I'm optimistic.

Indeed - we see some really innovative uses of OSS on GitHub from companies you wouldn't expect. Software is an enabler of their business, initially; then, it becomes totally interwoven.

One of my favorites? John Deere. https://github.com/johndeere

We released this last October as a way of broadcasting the work we've been doing in the ecosystem thus far: https://github.com/integrations. There's lots more to be done in that area, and we're learning a ton from our integration partners along the way. Enterprise readiness is one of the big areas we want to keep refining too.

Certainly appreciate your question around pricing for non-profits here - have you applied for non-profit status through GitHub?

We do have discounts to support eligible non-profit organizations, and you can request the discount at https://github.com/nonprofit. Feel free to reach out to Support (https://github.com/c) if you have any further questions around this!

No.
moby··on Squash your commits
Not a joke. Squash away. :)
moby··on More code review tools
That's a great thought. For my own edification, which third party apps come to mind?

At present, the "official" collaboration tools in the GitHub integrations directory are here: https://github.com/integrations/feature/collaborate

This is getting granular, but any GitHub user - whether free or paid - is bound by the Terms of Service. Yes, that makes them a customer, and they accordingly have to adhere to the conditions of using the product.

The one that CP's usage most likely confronts is G.12 - found here: (https://help.github.com/articles/github-terms-of-service/)

"All they care about is if you're smart and if you can contribute quickly."

You do realize that both of those descriptors are immensely subjective, right? How you assess "smart" is different from how I do, and there's no guarantee that the environment you create will allow me to contribute quickly compared to another one.
