mlurp··on Show HN: A LaTeX-based resume building app
Mind if I ask why? Isn't it something that probably gets passed around once it's out?

Hey, I'm in prov too. I'm pretty busy but hit me up if you're interested in hanging out sometime.
mlurp··on Descending into modular neuroevolution for logic circuits
I used python, pytorch, and sympy to try and make neural networks assemble and train to be effective at simple logic gate tasks. When one successfully assembles for a simple task, I "modularize" it to try and make it usable in more complex logic circuits.
mlurp··on Training a real robot to play Puckworld with reinforcement learning
I trained a robot to learn to play the game "puckworld" using RL (Q learning with experience replay, using pytorch). I had done some RL stuff before, but didn't appreciate how hard it could be getting something physical to work for the timescales necessary to do RL.

Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback!

I know it's really hard to predict what people will or won't want in the future, but... Would people want this, even if it worked really well?
mlurp··on HN-like math research discussion for Ph.D.s
MO is definitely high level, but like all SO/SE, I've always found their format to be really restricting. Not everything can be phrased as an objective question. Sometimes the best stuff have come out of something like "I was thinking about xyz, here are some things I noticed, thoughts?" I've even had/seen actual questions closed on SO/SE sites closed because of reasons I think are pretty silly.

It's also just not meant for discussions; if there are more than a couple comment replies, they "move it to chat", which I've never used.

Specific forums or subreddits can often have good discussion, but often not as much traffic.

Gambling (especially aimed at minors) def gives me an "icky" feeling too, but I'm not sure the "tangible" aspect is very key.

To me, it seems like McDonald's food that's physical but lasts a short time is about as tangible as a skin that's not physical but you can use for years.
