missing_cipher··on Help needed, Daniel Nicoletti (KDE developer) unexpectedly arrested
This may be too late, but from the discussion in /r/argentina [1], what I gather is that both parties were cited by the judge for investigation (for involuntary manslaughter). Since David left Argentina, the judge assumed a flight risk and he ordered an international warrant for his capture(to continue the investigation).

Same on Chrome 23.0.1271.52 beta-m, in fact the music example crashed the tab the first time. The Rainbow example doesn't animate either.

Google seems to be working on that. :)

Great read. Thanks. :)
missing_cipher··on Twitter effectively killing JSONP too
Does this mean that "http://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline/<user... will be deprecated? Or is this talking about authentication?

missing_cipher··on Customize Twitter Bootstrap To Not Look Bootstrap-y
Ugh, now I feel stupid. I didn't think to click on the die.

Works pretty well too.

missing_cipher··on Customize Twitter Bootstrap To Not Look Bootstrap-y
Completely agree. I think sites that customize bootstrap should have presets that you can work of.

I'm not a designer so when I see so many options I'm overwhelmed and don't really know where to start, but if they gave different presets that you could preview then you could find the one that best suits you and modify small things you'd like to change.

Too many options.

missing_cipher··on Show HN - We just built a site that saves lives
Does adding a "monthly subscription" type option make sense? It does add another level of complexity(user accounts and whatnot), but I think people would like the convenience of automatically donating.

Maybe having the option to split their donation as they see fit(1/3, half and half, 100% to just one, etc).

Good luck with the site. :)

No, it isn't required, but they encourage it.

Small suggestion: You should give focus to the text area when the user lands on the page, so I can instantly search and not have to reach for the mouse or tab.

Would opening a pdf via Chrome for example provide any extra protection? From what I understand most of the exploits are because of embedded media, no?

missing_cipher··on Windows 8 & Metro with Mouse and Keyboard - Super User Blog
The only thing that is annoying me with Windows 8 so far are the contextual menus where you need to move your mouse to the bottom right-hand side. The delay is too long and it makes the experience less fluid IMO.

I'm liking the Start Metro screen and getting used to the dynamic tiles.

missing_cipher··on Mari0=Mario + Portal ..Open source game
I don't see him asking for money anywhere, so at most he'll get a cease and desist. Of course if he doesn't comply then things would get worse.

Plus from what I understand Nintendo has been pretty lax with these sort of projects lately and I don't think Valve would do anything either.

missing_cipher··on Show HN: Fed up with WebEx, so we built a way to screen share in under 20 sec.
I love this. How feasible would a Chrome/Firefox extension be? An icon by the URL to start a share without going to another URL would be amazing(and something no one else does as far as I know).

Great product. Best of luck! :)

missing_cipher··on SOPA/PIPA: More than 250k tweets / hr
It also shows just how powerful the blackout is. I much rather these people asking what's going on, then going on with their day in ignorance. Maybe a few hundred will learn what's up and phone their representative.
