miralabs··on Java is Pass-by-Value, Dammit
In short: Java has pointers and is strictly pass-by-value.

miralabs··on HTML6 proposal for single-page apps without JavaScript
spa apps are more complex that the example. Sure it looks it could work but the amount of logic within an SPA is not just a simple click here , fetch json , replace html fragment. The title is a bit misleading. I don't think it's possible to do SPA without Javascript.

miralabs··on SNB Unexpectedly Gives Up Cap on Franc, Lowers Deposit Rate
It that also means Swiss companies have an incentive to borrow money and invest it, though.

this is what the effect SNB is going for -- that the CHF will naturally devaluate instead of them piling up risk by holding bazillion of EUR.

miralabs··on Sorry Google, No CAPTCHA ReCAPTCHA Doesn’t Stop Bots
"What does this mean for bots? Now bots can use an OCR tool to solve the information or require somebody to solve the image initially, post which, the bot can retain the cookies and continue scraping!"

They did not tried if this works though. I mean the team that implemented the new Google captcha won't be that dumb. They would have known this as a flaw..

miralabs··on Is Java the Cobol of tomorrow and Go the Java of the future?
Im thinking what will happen is there will be a version of java (along with the frameworks and technologies ) that will become Cobol and new version of Java will move on and improve. I dont think it will be the next Cobol. When cobol was around, not so many were using it and technology is limited.Today, Java is just everywhere.
