I've been heavily focused in interactive TV for over 10 years starting out for a cable network (TechTV) and moving over to the dark side (Comcast) for a number of years before leaping out on my own.
I love running my own services business but keep tossing around whether to move to a more product focused startup.

It’s the Transfer Admissions Guarantee program.

To the original point though it’s one of many reasons why GPA + Test scores isn’t really a standard metric to be used on their own for merit based admissions. It’s really just a bar after which you have to take additional factors into account.
They have to - it’s likely they have far more applicants with near perfect GPA/Test score combos then they have spots. (Noting that your GPA gets fuzzy once it’s over a 4.0 since that “extra” is going to be somewhat school and school system dependent)
Since each kid likely applies to multiple schools the process would also be extremely broken if it worked the way you suggest since the same cohort of kids would all be accepted to multiple schools and the schools would then have to backfill from a alternate list - which would also be the same cohort of kids…
I’d assume the goal of the task force is to propose new laws which should be pretty easy to get passed.
That said my point of view as a manager was to try to hire people who could take my job someday. Those were the people that would make me look good by having a great team. I don’t need to steal their thunder because the higher you go in a healthy organization the more it’s about having people that can execute your strategy then about your individual contributions.
The best analogy for this I see is in the NFL when new, young head coaches seem to be afraid to hire experienced coordinators who have been fired as head coaches because they’re afraid of hiring their replacement if they fail. The thing is those ex head coaches were undoubtedly successful in their previous coordinator roles which is why they got a head coach gig to begin with and are likely the best option for making the new head coach successful.
Long story short it’s up to you to determine which type of leader you’re working for and and take ownership of moving on when in a toxic situation as opposed to a healthy one.
Might need a different name.

Would not be surprised to see the two merged into a single service.

The rich get richer.
The US competitive advantage is built on us being a destination for the best and brightest. Between this and the crackdown foreign students at US Universities why would the anyone want to come here?
The misuse of H1Bs is a small problem compared to the value it provides.
The flip side to Amazons argument though is that if the judge decided the class was too big they could break into multiple classes and Amazon would end up defending themselves on multiple fronts. Usually companies facing these things want to roll it all into a single class for that reason alone.
I think the unspoken part here is “let’s start with…”
It doesn’t mean you won’t have to “do all the things” so much as let’s start with too little so we don’t waste time doing things we end up not needing.
Once you aggregate all the simple things you may end up with a complex behemoth but hopefully you didn’t spend too much time on fruitless paths getting there.
Simply looking for properties owned by corporations will get you really close.
That said the cash flow gets better over time as rents increase.

Funny, I wrote this without seeing what the full URL was (I’m on my phone) so the use of the word “gracious” preceded me knowing the path was /gratitude
That said, affiliated hospitals are not owned or operated by Harvard.
The affiliates could be pushed to drop their affiliation if NIH wanted to play hardball with Harvard.
It's likely tax-exempt from property taxes, upkeep is likely minimal, and even empty office space is an appreciating asset. I'd be more surprised if it didn't exist.
I worked for a cable channel (TechTV) in the late 90s early 2ks (until Comcast bought it, laid everyone off and turned it into G4) this was the early days of cable VOD. At that time you had to pay a service by the minute to watch your video before they’d distribute it. That was the QA forced on you by the cable companies.
The fun note is that those services charged double for “adult” content.
