michelsedgh··on Elevated errors across many models
This joke is getting old kinda Opus4.5 handles all the bugs in one go and also doesn’t introduce new ones at least for me. Very rarely i get stuck with it like i did with past generations of AI
michelsedgh··on Elevated errors across many models
Exactly I feel like my brain burns out after a few days. Like Im the limit already (yet im the maximizer also) its a very weird feeling
michelsedgh··on Elevated errors across many models
Just like the internet, or Cloudflare going down?
michelsedgh··on Elevated errors across many models
If they shut down opus 4.5 I'll cry
michelsedgh··on Ask HN: How can I get better at using AI for programming?
I think you shouldn't think so much about it, the more you use it, the better you will understand how it can help you. The most gain will be coming from the models jumping and how you get updated using the best for your use case.
michelsedgh··on OpenDesk – a flexible all-in-one office suite for the public sector
I think Collabora added the Online part and the web hosted part compared to LibreOffice? please educate me
michelsedgh··on OpenDesk – a flexible all-in-one office suite for the public sector
No, its Collabora just rebranded :)
michelsedgh··on Ask HN: Mamdani is poised to become new mayor of New York. How do locals feel?
Polls are not accurate. Most people that live there usually dont vote. Also the polls are a sample of a few hundred to a few thousand compared to population that lives in a city, the numbers are low. Let me not get into the biases of the poll takers and all the other stuff…
michelsedgh··on Waymo is bringing autonomous, driverless ride-hailing to London in 2026
Yes but thats a hack, the issue that it can’t handle those situations is still there and in my experience the car behind me was a waymo that kept trying to center but as soon as it saw cars coming it swerved. It kept going left and right. Unsafe in that situation and scared for people who were coming its way.
michelsedgh··on Waymo is bringing autonomous, driverless ride-hailing to London in 2026
In Los Angeles, it handles it very badly in my experience.
michelsedgh··on Ask HN: Has AI stolen the satisfaction from programming?
Stolen as if people hate AI and dont love just chilling and have it code for them. You understand that people are choosing to and loving using AI right? Thats why it grew so much?
michelsedgh··on Apple releases FastVLM and MobileCLIP2 on HF, real-time video captioning
The fastvlm seems to be just doing images, not video, like i wave my hand and it says user is holding his hand up. I think its just doing one image at a time, great speed and accuracy though just on a webgpu on my macbook air m4 Ps do u know any that does a video feed?
michelsedgh··on WiFi-3D-Fusion – Real-time 3D motion sensing with Wi-Fi
what i want to know is if you need multiple senders and receivers, or you just run it on a esp32 and it can visualize? usually they need a sender and a receiver to make sense of it all?
michelsedgh··on Vibe coding tips and tricks
No Vibe Coding is when you dont touch the code yourself and only ask the LLM to make edits for you. You still understand and make sure llm does what you asked, but you dont touch the code yourself.
michelsedgh··on Vibe coding tips and tricks
Unless you touch the code, you're still vibe coding if you just review and ask the LLM to change. You're coding when you touch the code yourself and make edits to what LLM made.
michelsedgh··on Vibe coding tips and tricks
You are, I think reviewing and understanding the code and the app are very important, but the moment you go in and code yourself you're not vibe coding anymore. I think you break vibe coding when you touch the code yourself and have to manually make edits not when understanding and making sure the llm did what you asked it.
michelsedgh··on Gemma 3 270M: Compact model for hyper-efficient AI
I wish it was multimodal :(
michelsedgh··on The Framework Desktop is a beast
Also the size difference
michelsedgh··on Why Are We Building Superintellgence?
It's just the evolution of intelligence, there's no stopping it and its a dream to reach super intelligence. it might not be your dream, but its the dream of so many, and the arguments against super intelligence aren't so sound, why are you so scared of it? we're not its food or competition, so why would it wanna create the only other live intelligence and its parents basically? We can only help it, in the end and it can help us. There's no need for destruction on either side.
michelsedgh··on Ollama Turbo
I think its the data privacy is the main point and probably more usage before you hit limits? But mainly data privacy i guess
michelsedgh··on Grok 4 Launch [video]
I thought its probably some bot accounts that are flagging anything close to right wing content on here. But maybe its the people who knows but it's funny I kinda feel similar to you.
michelsedgh··on Ask HN: To anyone who cares to read this. How old are you roughly?
I didn't understand 70% of the stuff you said, but wow! One question, how did you update yourself and keep up throughout all these years?
michelsedgh··on Ask HN: To anyone who cares to read this. How old are you roughly?
Yeah i was thinking that, but at least I have some idea that the age is different than I thought here, most responses are 40 and above apparently which I never would have guessed. I also would never have thought people in their 70's would be here !!!!
michelsedgh··on Ask HN: To anyone who cares to read this. How old are you roughly?
Check it out: https://testflight.apple.com/join/xGPuqqhS I'd love feedback :)
michelsedgh··on Ask HN: To anyone who cares to read this. How old are you roughly?
I forgot to say I'm 25 myself, started coding like 2 years ago maybe, that said, I'm not a coder. I vibe code only.
michelsedgh··on Ask HN: To anyone who cares to read this. How old are you roughly?
Maybe share also?
michelsedgh··on LLM code generation may lead to an erosion of trust
How old are u?
michelsedgh··on LLM code generation may lead to an erosion of trust
Its not not understanding I need to understand it enough to make sure it works the way it should. Its not like every company is generating high quality level code. The apps are very shitty.
michelsedgh··on LLM code generation may lead to an erosion of trust
Good on you. You are using it and trying to keep up. Keep doing that and try to push what you can do with it. I love to hear that!
michelsedgh··on LLM code generation may lead to an erosion of trust
I'm not trying to advertise anything here, but i'm telling you i can create apps that feel apple level quality and its not garbage. I built this in 2 weeks I had never known what swift is or anything. I wasn't a coder or app maker, but now I can build something like this in 2 weeks. Let me know if its garbage. I'll love criticism and I'll look for something else if its actually garbage.
