Unfortunately a lot of people think notarization gives some kind of legitimacy to a document, or likely in this case, it's probably not the hassle of getting it notarized, but used as a scare tactic to prevent some people from committing insurance fraud by listing inflated or made-up items (people might conflate it with perjury).
"Even when you deny, enough of your contacts won’t, that it seems in vain."
I don't remember hating my bike when I was a kid, and I had the cheap kind. I also don't remember it being too heavy or anything. Of course if I wanted to ride my bike, I had to lift the heavy wooden garage door up (elementary-school-age). Kids that I volunteer with all seem weak and have issues that I never had.
There's a parable about helping a butterfly out of a cocoon:

20+ years ago, CSI (U.S. TV Show) had an episode where they used a device to identify fragrances; seemed plausible to me.

With GrapheneOS, enough people have their eyes on it, that I can trust it without reviewing all of the source code and compiling it myself.
Very nicely done though, thank you!
eBay is the first one that comes to mind. I know I've run into it a couple of other times where a website will just offer to text you a code, but usually there is a small link you can click that says "use my password instead".
Facebook and Amazon don't have my cell phone number, but I bet they have an option.
I don't usually try to reset my passwords since I use a password manager, so it's probably more common than that.
For example, if you asked for a selfie, she might just think you want a picture of her, and she remembers that she has a picture of her that she took last year where she looked good (passport phot that people dress up for), and wants you to have a good photo rather than one where she looks miserable in a hospital.
The way you tell the story makes it sound suspicious, but next time I would just be direct and tell her something seems suspicious to you, that someone could impersonating her, so that is why you are asking.
If someone is targeting you, perhaps are they already saw your comment here so that hypothetical person already know you're on to them, in which case saying that on the phone won't give any new information away.

I imagine in most cities it's illegal already to have a septic system if there is public sewage available.
