I'm not interested in arguing with someone who doesn't respect others opinions, nor did I make baseless claims: I cited resources.
> ...Oh, and a Mario game implementation says nothing about the typical production uses of a language and its stack.
It's true, the mario runthrough was in pure ruby and not rails, and that rails has a slower performance vs. Ruby + Sinatra.
That sounds pretty dogmatic itself. You don't have to like dynamic languages - but that doesn't mean they are deeply flawed. The same could be said for statically typed languages with a different set of values.
additionally: > Sinatra + Sequel is already very competitive in web performance with Go > Between Ruby 1.8 and 2.5, performance has improved around 13x in tight loops[2]. The Rails performance issue has been massively overblown since 1.9 was released.
Other times, they'll allow for bursts but sustained get rate limited - these can be detected just the same depending on their approach; if it's per connection (and not IP) you may have to find a big file to download.
It also helps to establish that traffic to other sites is not rate limited, and to use 3rd party checkers that check for connection rate across the globe. Or DIY and spin up a bunch of EC2 machines that are geographically diverse.
hoping someone else chimes in with other thoughts because I used to know more about this, and SEO cheapening quality content was one of the key takeaways I had.
OG is probably the main reason I'm still on a mac. Nothing else comes close. I hope they can rethink their plans and create a more sustainable & successful business. Their other apps are pretty good too. Easily the best software shop for mac.
But I think this push for "stimulating curiosity" is academic wank. That's not what bicycles of the mind are for - they're tools for building, not naval gazing. It sounds like Mu was built more for ego or prestige than to actually do anything meaningful.
Show me Mu as a bike I want to ride - not as a philosophical introspection on why Mu is in some way superior. Reading this PDF it's clearly more ideal than practical. And while it may be "see through" it's shape, interfaces, interactions and surface area are convoluted and poorly presented.
Maybe I am wrong to expect humanities out of this, but humans are who have to use this stuff/ride these bikes.
The 34 year old Chinese doctor who spoke up about the virus died.
They don't have to justify themselves to you. He saw what he saw, and felt what he felt. if you have any problem with that, that's on you.
Nope. Maybe "of course", if they just lazily hack something together. But the tech is there, today, for low latency.
