On a serious note, IE has always been a challenge for front end dev, but its at least up front about its lack of support. Chrome, FF and Safari will sometimes have a minor margin bug that will drive me more insane then the expected behavior of IE.

However, were I do to the same in an area with fewer educational institutions per sq. mile, I may not have had that experience.
Second, have you considered the demographics are affected by pervasive sexism in several world cultures? Not to go on a tirade, but walk through a toy store some time and tell me why you think there aren't more female programmers and scientists. The point is, culture- NOT gender, is to account for the disparity between men and women in the field. While numbers may be numbers, its still a backhanded compliment.
Like I stated in my above comment, I realize it may not be the intent of your statement, I am just sharing with you how it may be construed amongst the fairer sex when we "dare" to cross these imaginary gender lines drawn in the sand.
I tend to become much nicer when I switch over to Spanish, mostly because I usually speak it in customer service situations. Spanish is my language to help people. That and I always love the look I get when the pasty Russian girl starts sounding like a Columbian.
I remember my friends mother recounting a story in which she was feeding my infant compadre in a shopping center, and a woman came up out of nowhere and pretty much berated her for not breast feeding. It is such a war between these women, and its ridiculous, since most mothers who don't really and honestly can't.
And quite frankly, as part of an army of formula fed humanoids, I'd like to think we all turned out just fine.
