Side issue, but... maybe Google can pay some tax in this country as a first step.

and in British Thermal Units?

It hit me a couple of years back, a night time drive through the Australian countryside and your car would be plastered with insects - not anymore. And fireflies, I haven't seen one in years,

I would prefer to see a cover letter in applications. It shows effort and that's important. Also, you only have to write one.

Does that mean i don't get 960 emails a week now?

So true. it's a toilet. A few months back I told myself no more, I resigned my account and haven't missed it at all. massive time sink, and utterly pointless. It isn't a conversation, it's yelling at a brick wall, then yelling louder when you don't get an answer.

I doubt there are "lots" of buildings over 100 years old remaining in the Melbourne CBD. Those that do remain gain significance merely because they have survived.

Manila Folder Boeing 777 guy. Please take note.

Oh it's quite simple, I don't get interrupted. At work I might get 15 minutes of work done before there is someone at my desk, and headphones are the international sign of "hey lets bother that guy".

Sometimes I say in the same voice... Hold on a tick Moira, I think Francis is trying to make a point.

Moira in our organisation is a meetings pest, she speaks without listening and speaks often.

Just be polite, don't let the conversation move on, and advocate for others who are spoken over. "I didn't hear Josh, Josh can you please repeat that"

Lost me at having a meeting with marketing people. No one should have to do that.

I hate cigarettes, I hate the litter, the smell, and the smokers' belief that they have the divine right to pollute my airspace. I also hate the taxes I spend on keeping them in hospital - but. E cigarettes don't cause litter, the smoke is far less offensive. If people are going to smoke they will smoke. SF would be far better off banning actual cigarettes.

I use Logic Pro heaps - and the touch par is actually useful there. The issue for me is remembering that it's there. I am so used to the keyboard commands.

There comes a time in every corporate's life where good will is neither important nor needed.
