The big problem I have with Ikea is it creates a sort of disposable Furniture Industry because quite often people will throw their Ikea Stuff away after the first or second moving. Or not even take it with them. Because it is so easy to get and so cheap.
Which for reference i am not an engineer but a Physicist is literally one of the things we make jokes about for engineers. Not that we are much better in that regard as a verfiable end state in Physics is like realy realy dificult to get so is the necessary context.
But alas they dropped the goal and for me the ball with the decision to stop following this. I will probably not write mojo code when I could use Rust or Julia instead, which are more aligned with my necessities.
Which is not the most flexible system, with apple only implementing the mandatory minimum of interoptability and features required by EU rules. But other than that delivering a rather solid product with excellent vertical integration. And at least i know that unlike Google their main business is not in advertising. (but in pricing their incremental upgrades ridiculously)
