Isn't the mere passage of time also a remover of classification? Like isn't there a default time from the creation date?
Or it must be positively declassified by an action?

(I'm not saying it's good or bad, just passing on information.)
I'm sure this isn't the best tutorial on the topic but it gives you a taste: https://www.barandbench.com/columns/shall-shocked-the-use-of...
Just kidding. Then you'd eventually need extraterrestrials, sentient_ai, ghosts, and all kinds of extras.
It seems like a better approach would be to harden all email software in usage to ban almost-but-not-quite .mil at the end of email addresses, looking for the above permutations client-side before anything is transmitted.
I think an interesting experiment would be to also prioritize some "news-ish" "good news" of the type that wouldn't quite make major TV news broadcasts. The type of stuff that John Krasinski was doing with Some Good News during the pandemic.
- ruled paper is easier to write on
- you won't run out of space (just add sheets)
- you can rewrite summaries as you revisit books decades later and retuck the new summary
- you can quickly scan the papers to archive a digital copy
- you can remove your notes to lend the book (or not)
- you can transfer your notes to a new edition trivially
- you can be more candid in what you write, knowing it's trivially discarded without giving up the book
- all the notes are in one place and you don't have to thumb through the book looking for where you wrote an idea that you half-remember
- you have space to draw diagrams if appropriate
- you can find something on the internet that importantly relates, print off a page or two, and adjunct your notes
- you can do extensive internet research and build a whole matching folder of contents on your laptop, but you can print a page of Title/URL's to adjunct your notes as a backup (and for anyone who borrows the book+notes)
(edit: formatting)
For one example, "The Ten Commandments" is an unscriptural phrase; it's "The Ten Words" in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. Only for the King James Version in English does it become commandments (possibly reflecting the monarch-benefactor's ideas of law and authority).
Which is why pg advocates symbol count. (Although he seems to love brevity too.)
