marketgod··on UK to ban sale of new petrol and diesel cars from 2030: FT
Buy a Tesla everything else is shit. Others need to catch up but it's going to take a while. If you buy a Nokia phone today it's not going to work as well as an iPhone. I'm presuming the electric car you have is from a company who isn't as good.
marketgod··on Save like a pessimist, invest like an optimist
You can fire customers easier than quitting jobs. I fire customers daily. If you are reliant on 1 customer then it's not a business, it's a hobby.

Edit: Also you can be ethical.

marketgod··on Save like a pessimist, invest like an optimist
Because one is a slave and the other is a man/woman.
marketgod··on Ask HN: So where do I put an article, so it's discoverable, if not on Medium?
Congratulations this is a nice setup as well.
marketgod··on The Stock Market Is on the Edge of a Historic Crash
If you aren't me then you should stick to Bogleheads Lazy Portfolios.
marketgod··on Ask HN: Those making $500/month on side projects in 2020 – Show and tell
I read your post wrong. You are running the wheel already.

Sell puts, get assigned, sell calls.

marketgod··on Ask HN: Those making $500/month on side projects in 2020 – Show and tell
You can use the Wheel it's bit more effective.
marketgod··on Ask HN: What tech stocks are you bullish about, and why?
Wait for it to get over $30.50 then we can see $37-40 by December.
marketgod··on The pandemic turned my parents into day traders
It's late Autumn and the Indians on a remote reservation in North Dakota have asked their new Chief if the coming winter is going to be cold or mild.

Since he was a modern-day Chief he'd never actually been taught the old indian ways or their secrets, so when he looked at the sky, he just couldn't tell what the winter weather was going to be like. Nevertheless, in order not to disappoint the tribe and to be on the safe side, he told them that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that they should collect firewood and be prepared.

However, being a practical leader, after several days, he got an idea. He went to the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked, “Is the coming winter going to be cold?”

“It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold" they responded. So the Chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more firewood in order to be better prepared. A week later, he called the National Weather Service again, “Does it still look like it is going to be a very cold winter?”

“Yes”, replied the man at National Weather Service this time, even more certain,“it's going to be a very, very cold winter.”

So the Chief went back to his people once again and ordered them to collect every scrap of firewood they could lay their hands on.

Two weeks later, worried about the mountains of wood and the hard work the tribe was putting in collecting it, the chief called the National Weather Service just to be absolutely sure."Are you definitely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?”

“Absolutely”, the weatherman said, “It's looking more and more like it's going to be one of the coldest winters on record.”

“But how can you be so certain?” the chief asked. "Well, for a start" the weatherman replied, “the Indians are collecting a shedload of firewood.”

marketgod··on Ask HN: What tech stocks are you bullish about, and why?
If you think TA is reading tea leaves then you aren't the audience for this.
marketgod··on Ask HN: What tech stocks are you bullish about, and why?
I don't know much about it or what they do or their fundamentals. The charts and the way it trades on the stock market suggest this stock is the most powerful in the market right now.
marketgod··on Ask HN: What tech stocks are you bullish about, and why?
The charts suggest lots of room to go.
marketgod··on Ask HN: What tech stocks are you bullish about, and why?
TSLA. Techies think they have reached their peak, it's just starting.
marketgod··on Ask HN: What product, etc. do you think is snake oil?
Everyone thinks options trading/advisory services/trading roooms are snake oil.
marketgod··on Ask HN: What did you purchase that measurably improved your quality of life?
Are you serious? We need more people like you. Crazy proposition. I'm the best trader out there for options. There are services which allow others to mirror my account, I am planning to set one of those up.

If you are interested, I'd let you follow my account for free, if you are willing to donate 100% of the profits it makes and pay your own fees for the required brokerages.

marketgod··on Ask HN: How to Invest in Private Companies
Why? It's a crap shoot anyways. Put it on real stocks and stop trying to catch start-ups. Your money is better served in stronger stocks.

Edit: Let the big money tell you what the market thinks instead of your knowledge of technology. Also their books aren't going to be open.

marketgod··on Ask HN: What are fastest paths to financial success?
Look up Bogleheads and Lazy Portfolio.
marketgod··on Ask HN: How do you invest your money?
Definitely. Not saying don't put money in ETFs but the returns aren't as fast and you have to earn a good salary to do so.

However adding some money into the market leaders would be a wise idea IMO. I.e. TSLA and AAPL. Since you are in the ETF ($SPY) for now then you are already invested in AAPL as it's the largest portion of it so adding TSLA which is going to be $5,000 in a decade would be wise.

marketgod··on Ask HN: How do you invest your money?
My Discord has live entries, exits and plans. I am considering setting up a small account ($50K) that I will live stream and people can see my clicking live so they can follow it live.
marketgod··on Ask HN: How do you invest your money?
Well since I am one of if not the best full-time options trader I already do that. I also buy calls for better returns and unlimited upside.

Play: When TSLA gets over $440, I'm grabbing weekly $450s and looking for $500 targets.

marketgod··on Reddit's Stock Threads Become a Must-Read on Wall Street
Find a fee-only advisor and have them setup a plan. Then vet their plan with another one. Also do your own research.

People need to realize they have a second job no matter if they like it or not which is to allocate your assets and manage your risk.

marketgod··on Ask HN: How do you invest your money?
There are no guarantees in the market. If there was I'd be a billionaire right now.

You can place it in an lazy/bogleheads portfolio if you want to reduce risk and even that is not guaranteed.

The only difference between what I said and an ETF is $TSLA will turn $100,000 into $1M in a decade but the ETF will only turn $100,000 into $400,000 in that same time frame (if the SPY continues its 10-year returns.)

marketgod··on Ask HN: How do you invest your money?
Who is we? I wouldn't have said it. I would have and was saying the same about AAPL though.

This is where skill really matters.

marketgod··on Reddit's Stock Threads Become a Must-Read on Wall Street
Tons of good reasons. My model says $TSLA should be $1,000 a share and is undervalued. It should be there for March and even earlier. $5,000 in a decade.
marketgod··on Reddit's Stock Threads Become a Must-Read on Wall Street
Me. TSLA and AAPL get in those until we get some signals in a few years.
marketgod··on Reddit's Stock Threads Become a Must-Read on Wall Street
You can hedge your currency risk but the U.S. dollar is the world currency. For example in Canada in 96 when you were making USD it was killing you until about 2003 but if you didn't dip into it that money doubled on its own as the USD is much stronger today.
marketgod··on Ask HN: How do you invest your money?
And why would I give you 10x if the market is giving me 100x? You should be giving me odds actually because I'm actually taking a bigger bet. Anyways when it cracks $440 on Monday and I get my new options, I will do 100% on those meaning it should be about $500 a share by Friday.

Also if what I said was so preposterous you should have said, I will give you 10x your return if that happens and give me a 2x if it doesn't.

marketgod··on Ask HN: How do you invest your money?
TSLA/AAPL and options.

Seriously get in TSLA. It's going to double by March, probably earlier.

I could buy ETFs and do the boglehead/lazy portfolio but the returns are minimal compared to picking market leaders. Also you need to be making serious money for those to be valuable or live a frugal life and then spend when you are dead.

marketgod··on Car Paint Colors Have Gotten More Boring over the Years
From what I have been told by multiple wrappers is you can't use the manual spray washes either. The water power is too high and will cause damage. Have to hand wash it.

Edit: This was for about 3-years between 2015-2018 as I wanted to wrap the cars in the winter.

marketgod··on Car Paint Colors Have Gotten More Boring over the Years
Too bad you can't use automatic carwashes with it.
