It will give me confidence about developing apps through this.
There are certain downsize of offshore development like communication, cultural differences etc.
.net is a good platform, but the real problem is you have to wait for MS to develop something. For example before "asp.net mvc" there is no option to use mvc in MS world.
For me learning python/django was not a big pain; but running them on ubuntu is a real pain; and i think this is true for every ms developer who want to change his platform.
On linux platform options are great and there are lots self motivated developers and fun projects which is not true in the case of MS.
One more thing - lots of start-ups work on the non ms platform. Once people talk about asp.net mvc they only talk about http://stackoverflow.com/, but we can find more successful example in rails, or django or php; which makes every ms developer on back-foot.
PS: I love c#, asp.net mvc and VS as a developer tools.
Django vs Rails - I don't have any experience with Rails because you must know ruby first. Django is a natural choice for me because of python. Till now it seems good to me (around a month experience). It is seem not so cool in comparison to Rails but its good (I also know little bit of ASP.NET MVC).
Note: I am not an expert in both language/framework, so you can ignore my suggestions.
I think we need better Algorithm.
Mail and "social networks" are different need.
Yes I am having something in my mind which i want to develop; that's why i though why not new technology.
I take my hat off to this man.
My mission is simple; learn business by doing business even earning is small.
There is no cap, but my intention is building the stuff that even work for very niche community.
