'1 year notice in the case of any services they plan to deprecate' - that is barely enough for a SMB and it is not possible or acceptable for any enterprise customer! Imagine how long it takes to investigate on new solutions, rewriting stuff, testing it, releasing, etc... 1 year is a joke which I might accept as a startup with a single node.js app but would not as a CTO of any company.

If you know how to run a company which raises 1 billion, why not set up your own? :)

Jokes aside, once you become such a big company it is not as easy as we might think, these are investors money, not your company, and you do what they say...

Not enough high skilled workers? That is simply not true, highly skilled workers earn good money (programmers, engineers, doctors), the problem is with low skilled ones, who earn 4-5 times less then in Western Europe. In every country you have lot more of low skilled than high skilled workers hence this is where the problem lies.

There is absolutely no difference in how a shop assistant deals with clients in Hungary or Czech Rep. as in UK or US. So why the disparity? It is definitely not caused by skills, the prices of goods are the same (for sure not 4/5 times cheaper), so what is the problem? The foreign companies? Not enough powerful unions? Governments allowing that?

You mean old police informants with capital, investing in what was interesting for them...

I'll explain:

50 years of communism in the eastern Europe countries left most of the people with no wealth as it was forbidden to own a company, unless you where co-operating with the secret police and singed a deal with them. This caused the issue that after the collapse of communism and soviet union people with wealth were communist collaborators (there were informing about non-safe people and helping throwing them into jails and sharing money with police officers). Then after communism collapsed they've created TV, media and obviously there was still TV, Radio and press which was government owned, where the same people were working. So as you can see everything is post-soviet countries is still mostly owned by communists and police informants.

I dont know how it is called in the USA as I dont live there... sorry.

Sex !== porn and we should all remember about it.

The artist claims that internet killed porn then switches to Yahoo News and is able to find what she is looking for, so it seems that she is unhappy that it is not reachable on Google. Another point is that when she worked with teenagers their biggest question was how to prevent diseases, pregnancy, one quick question- how would they find answers on porn sites? All the answers are available publicly on health related sites like the NHS for example, you do not need porn and sex-museums for that.

I went to visit dtwitter and first comment seen was ‘Yeah fuck off u goddam pollack piece of trash’. That is not the fun internet I am looking for, where ‘anonymous’ 12 year old write comments of this kind. What is good in FB which I do not use is that thay required real names so you would not hide behind a nick name to write comments like the one i pasted above.

In my opinion this article is dangerous as not all prople grow out of their addictions, as we can see on the streets, or we cannot when it is hidden in houses, when parents abuse themselves and their kids when drinking alcohol. This article might suggest, ok I might be addicted but Ill grow out of it. So people dont want go for treatments. I havent got contact with my father anymore but his 50 now and Im fairly certain he did not stop drinking, as his dad until he died.
