lnrdgmz··on Peter Thiel: Fake Culture Wars Only Distract Us from Our Economic Decline
The Republican party has hardly dropped its old social views. Its 2016 platform[1] continues to call for a ban to same-sex marriage, and goes so far as to say that LGBT persons should not be entitled to anti-discriminatory protections. This is despite an attempt by more socially moderate Republicans to craft a more inclusive platform[2].

Its nominee may be an unconventional Republican, but the GOP is still the Grand Old Party.

Seems like all the links are hard-coded to use http. Any chance you can get the site to work properly over https?
lnrdgmz··on Self-driving truck convoy completes its first major journey across Europe
Each truck in the platoon needs to be able to drive competently on its own, right? I don't think one driver can change lanes for an entire platoon, and each truck will have to adjust its speed to allow for other cars merging in and out.

If that's the case, why plan to have a driver at all? Just for navigational purposes?

lnrdgmz··on Is It Cheaper to Stay in an Airbnb ‘Entire Home’ Rental or a Hotel?
The first graph shows that hotels are cheaper in New York: the difference between hotels and AirBnb is -29.5. However, the graphs further down the page show that AirBnb is cheaper: the difference on these charts is 66.

The fourth graph on the page is mislabeled, which adds to the confusion.

Is the New York data a simple mistake, or is all the data on this page suspect? Or have I just read something incorrectly?
