i work for myself. i generally get to my office around 5am, leave at 230pm, spend around 4 hours every weekday with my wife and kids. i ski mid-week in the winter when there's fresh powder. i'll log research hours on the weekend. i have health insurance, savings, and happiness. i like my work and consider my hours logged a little light, but closer to adequate than 26 or 22 or whatever that bloomberg article says (50 - 60 a wk).

you made me happy. people need to turn this shit off. i keep seeing a commercial from somebody acutely interested in hillary getting elected: it pretends trump makes fun of kids with spinal cancer. that pretty much sums up the discourse right now, and it's not good for anybody or anything -- certainly not the direction of the nation.

it's a binary event, so differences in degree are going to be difficult to measure (especially in outcome). poker has an interesting add: don't measure your play by outcome; get the process right and results will follow. if you focus on outcome, you're likely to believe you played poorly when in reality you were just unlucky (something unlikely happened).
