larssorenson··on Show HN: RemoteCoder.io – A jobsite for remote programmers
Which is totally fine! I'm more of a systems programming kind of guy, and it is still doable remotely. Just seems to be a distinct lacking of those job positions for remote work.

Great concept, cool idea. Unfortunately: you hot link to google API, there's no search, and all of the jobs are web dev. The last one isn't really your fault I know, just a personal frustration.
larssorenson··on Judge Rejects Defense That FBI Illegally Hacked Silk Road, on a Technicality
Personally I find the judge's ruling utter rubbish. It is irrelevant if the server was Ulbricht's or not. If the FBI is trying to use evidence found within the server against him, then they should have to prove that they obtained it legally, whether or not it belongs to another individual or Ulbricht. And continuing on your point about best interests, this would amount to rolling up to random cars parked in a parking lot and having a drug sniffing dog walk around until they find something, then trying to arrest everyone parked around the car.

No love for Security? :(
larssorenson··on Pointers and memory leaks in C

    char *name = (char *) malloc(11);
    // Assign some value to name
    memcpy ( p,name,11); // Problem begins here
"In this example, the memcpy operation is trying to write 11 bytes to p, whereas it has been allocated only 10 bytes."

I'm sorry, but I see it as having malloc'd 11 bytes...

larssorenson··on How I Rewired My Brain to Become Fluent in Math
Reading this reminds me of how much I really want to be better at math, and especially the quick fire recall and understanding. I'm taking courses with a lot of math that I've learned before, and encountering similar struggles this time around as last time. Maybe I'll try a new approach, one such as this, to insure my success.

larssorenson··on MIT Students Battle State's Demand for Their Bitcoin Miner's Source Code
I don't understand how it could be considered consumer fraud or computer fraud and abuse if it was clearly indicated to the visitor that their browser would be used as a BitCoin miner in lieu of being displayed Ads. Assuming they weren't told, I could see the issue but it didn't seem like they were trying to dupe visitors.
