At least he's clear about it.
For projects in progress, I have started using ziplock bags that I label, so I don't have small collections of stuff constituting a project lying all over.
As for identifiers, use 'foo.?bar' case-insensitively.
This worked fabulously for me because it allowed me to "swap in" my work enough that I could avoid distractions.
And yes, I have ADHD.
When you're motivated about something you can practice, you may remember more by doing it (which also acts a spaced repetition). But good luck trying that with, say, astrophysics or macroeconomics.
When motivated, you're also more likely to pick up other books on the subject, which is another form of spaced repetition.
You can use the < head -n 1 > spell to take a peek at what a file holds
How about using a not-easily-typeable character pair like the guillemots?Dogs at least can learn that, too. Probably also cats. Using buttons to express themselves has proven that. Hell, even our dog, who never figured out the buttons, understood that "bed" meant "soft thing next to human's bed", not "the particular bed I usually sleep in".
Humans are merely a lot better at communicating this, having a more complex speech apparatus.
I feel sorry for you that you consider manipulation to be so central.
What I believe the moon is especially good for is as a launch pad for further exploration. Build mostly-automated factories in low but non-zero gravity and launch with a much smaller escape velocity. Lots of raw materials right there, easy energy from the sun (with solar panels in space for the night).
Unfortunately, the moon is "old hat" now that we've walked on it, and people want exciting new goals, not just a space factory.
Hard problems rarely have one simple solution, or they wouldn't be hard, would they?
