Calling it an experiment would be more accurate than declaring it has already failed.

People regularly overpay, so I'm not sure looking at average fees it the right lens. Monero is great, but it's trivial to get an excellent user experience with lightning nowadays that doesn't require custodians.

Yeah routing can suck. First timers should use a lightning wallet with built in LSP support like ZEUS, BitKit, Phoenix, etc. Then routing is a non-issue.

Is the firmware still closed source?

Yeah I've seen too many of these overhyped academic announcements that never make it commercially because they overlooked some small but critical aspect of manufacturing. Production is HARD

Yeah, we’re quite proud of the system - the bugs in sync systems can be particularly insidious and it took us a very long time (years) to iron them all out. So we're happy to make such a mature system freely available.

Also - some bugfixes introduce performance issues too, another NB consideration for any component in a data pipeline. So along with the maturity comes a highly performant system: we can work with hosted and self-hosted customers to scale to millions of concurrent connections.

I've never used a table saw but I rock climb regularly which has plenty of risk. Are table saw accidents purely due to your own actions? Or is it like a motorbike where there are factors out of your control and someone could crash into you.

If losing your fingers on a table saw is 100% due to your own actions and there are no externalities, I would call that negligence not accident.

In my case the /submit form threw me off, haven't used it much and the "text is optional if url is present part" didn't really register. I've probably been conditioned to modern UI which really guides you along i.e. I thought "text" was a required field

I was playing with words (under the assumption that anyone interested would know what a Mac Studio is, and that this problem regularly comes up in a studio setting where your displays can be far apart.

Great question and that's what you'd think. I spend a lot of time in the outdoors though, and on day 3 of a camping trip into an area with no signal, I'd rather have a stale prediction for the day 4 weather than no prediction.
