One interesting comparison I saw is the Siege of Mariupol. The fighting there had very high rates of civilian deaths (per day, and also vs combatant deaths), but:

* a large portion of civilians (and thus civilian casualties) in Mariupol actually identify as ethnic Russians, so it seems unlikely Russia targeted them intentionally

* nobody has filed a genocide case against Russia on the basis of the large number of civilian deaths in Mariupol

The layman's understanding of war is less guided by international law and more around ideas like "tit for tat". Eg if Hamas kills 1000 Israeli civilians, Israel is entitled to kill 1000 Palestinian civilians, but should stop after that.

You could certainly phase in an implementation over 20-30 years to give the economy time to adjust. Just interpolate the taxes.

In a state with fully implemented LVT, you would expect most people in dense cities to be living in multilevel housing that makes more efficient use of land. Eg if your condo building has 5 floors, you're splitting your land tax 5 ways.

Sprawling single level houses would be a relative luxury.

You can't deny history, it's well documented that Mizrahi Jews hold the deeds to lands in Arab states adding up multiple times the size of Israel.

If the Arab states think the Palestinians deserve reparations for stolen land, then obviously the Mizrahi Jews deserve multiples of those reparations.

If the Arab states think they can avoid paying reparations for the land they stole just by taking Israel by force, well they tried that several times and failed already.
