- lots of cheap wordpress hosting out there
- no need to "rebuild" whole site when you publish a new article
- friendlier to non-technical people
- upgrading version is just a click away
of course there are cons too (some are mentioned in the other comments), but for me, I can accept those trade offs
A side effect of this is that if user decided to abandon our site at checkout page, they are able to go back using browser navigation with state fully restored.
Temporary Containers https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/temporary-con... is a great addition. It gives you a semi-"private browsing" mode without missing features (some browser features are turned off in the actual private browsing mode). This is great for testing development web apps, as it gives you a fresh start every time.
I found this page which has more technical details on what it actually is: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Enterprise
Also found out that it is open source: https://github.com/wikimedia/OKAPI

Some big organizations are using it (like Facebook, Wikimedia Foundation, Mozilla)
You can still access their website https://www.smashcustommusic.com/ through the Internet Archive and can still download the BRSTM files that they use to generate those videos. BRSTM file is an audio file format that has loop points encoded in it[1]. Of course, you'll need a special program to play and loop it, like BrawlBox[2] or a web-based one that I created few months ago[3].
