Unfortunately I've been challenged with the Recaptcha quite often too. That part is apparently injected by my shared hosting service (Hostinger) with no ability to turn off even when I check with their support. I hosted this at my main site (kenrick95.org)'s shared hosting service as a subdomain since I don't need to pay extra to do so.
I might consider moving it out somewhere else if I decide to maintain it separately from my main site.
May I check what's your browser & version? Thanks
Yeah, some of the input elements are quite 'basic' as they use browser default input element. I shall improve of them in due time...
This is an example view-only trip: https://ikuyo.kenrick95.org/trip/2617cd98-a229-45d4-9617-526...
So far it has:
- Timetable view, with drag-and-drop support. I think it will be useful for planning the activities as I need to be able to quickly swap activities - List view. I think it will be useful for actual travel itself as the day go, I'll need to focus day-by-day - Maps. To make it easier to plan nearby activities, but I think I still need to rely on Google Maps or other kind of maps since I still need the navigation/direction in-between activities - Sharing & comments. Since I plan to use it to collaborate the travel with my friend, this is a must-have feature for me. - Expenses. This is still quite basic but maybe I should also track who owes whom...
I think now I'm happy with the feature set and will start planning my travel using this to polish the UX :)
I tried Wanderlog, but didn't get the right 'vibe' for me. The one that I actually used is Navitime specifically to travel in Japan, but didn't have as much function as I hoped.
So most functionalities I had in mind was inspired from my Excel sheets that I used over the years for travel planning
https://github.com/kenrick95/ikuyo
So far it has some sort of activity calendar + expense tracker
There's still so much ideas to implement, like adding map, improve UX of creating activities, to-do list, etc
I've used it once or twice of a short trip, but in 6 months time, I'll have a 2-weeks trip, so that's my self-imposed "deadline" for this project
Anyway this project is a pure static web page and all the 'back-end' is handled by InstantDB ( https://www.instantdb.com/ ) after I saw their submission on HN >.< So far it has been quite a good experience overall except maybe the permissions model which can be a bit confusing to me
Brings back memory to the hackathon project that's quite similar to this that me and my friends did back like 9 years ago!? https://github.com/SpanishArmada/Minesweeper-Battle?tab=read...
Edit: just managed to find the support email. I'll send you the OPML file through it~

Some issues I faced after trying it out for few minutes:
- When creating itineraries, I filled in the country field, but upon pressing enter or the arrow button, it just disappeared?
- On the same text field, I'm on dark mode, but the color contrast is quite poor (can't read the placeholder text)
- When I'm on the per-day itinerary planning page, when entering the hh:mm field, it didn't move my focus to the next one (so if I want to enter 08:00, I have to enter "8" then <tab> then "8" then <tab> then "0" then <tab> then "0"
- After I entered the hh:mm and press the plus icon, I suppose we're supposed to enter the plans starting that time. So I enter some stuff to it, and upon pressing enter, it appears there. It's fine, but it feels like the UX would be better if the text box is autofocused again, so we can quickly enter several plans for that timing
- I'm confused with the "edit"/"editing" button, not sure what it does... but when the text goes to "editing", I can delete some items I guess?
Anyway that's all I have for now. Sorry for the long wall of text.
Cheers~
How do you study that on Anki?
I had a similar experience when building Firefox from source >.<
though I recall I had more trouble when pulling the codes as I was naive and pulled all the history
Also "(2022)"
