kdeldycke··on Rockstar lib will make you a Rockstar programmer in 2 lines of code
I recently noticed in Europe references to these "digital big 4" as the GAFA, i.e. Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon. Some also designate them as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse/Internet. I'm still looking for the guy who coined the term though...
kdeldycke··on Scaleway: Bare metal SSD ARM servers
Dev here. Sorry for the address issue. It was all my fault: validation was too strict. The fix was pushed on production servers 16 hours ago. You should try again ! :)
kdeldycke··on Why has Google has banned paid Helpouts in the UK / EU?
Let me guess: new 2015 european VAT rules for B2C transactions.

Google similarly refuse non-corporate european customers on its cloud platform sinceJanuary 1st because of taxes. See: https://support.google.com/cloud/answer/6090602

kdeldycke··on EU VAT rules make EU startups uncompetitive in a global market
I'm trying to compile a list of applicable rates and exceptions at https://github.com/kdeldycke/vat-rates . Feel free to contribute ! :)
kdeldycke··on Hyperarchy: Democracy for the Digital Era
The concept of Hyperarchy was already explored by demexp.org. Look for instance at the aspect of vote delegation: http://www.demexp.org/dokuwiki/description_of_the_political_...
kdeldycke··on Sick Linux Commands
That's WordPress default behavior. It also changes simple and double quotes.

The simplest fix is to enclose your command lines with the "<code>" HTML tag.

A good WordPress companion for blog featuring lots of command-lines and code is Alex Gorbatchev's SyntaxHighlighter: http://alexgorbatchev.com/SyntaxHighlighter . Several WordPress plugins are available. I personally use SyntaxHighlighter Evolved: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/syntaxhighlighter

kdeldycke··on Facebook Doesn't Own My Friends: Chrome extension exports Facebook contacts
Source code has a better value than the binary: I'm sure Facebook will deploy some counter-measures pretty soon, making the binary unusable.

Nobody's got the source code ? I tried to checked it out but I get 403's again...

kdeldycke··on Facebook Doesn't Own My Friends: Chrome extension exports Facebook contacts
Looks like the project was just deleted from Google Code. I always get a "403 Forbidden" page each time I try to access the project page.

Fortunately, the binary extension is still downloadable at this URL: fb-exporter.googlecode.com/files/fb-exporter.crx

kdeldycke··on Hacking Ikea products to make them personal
I have a friend at http://maomium.com who is customizing (or decorating, as you wish) standard Ikea furnitures. Each piece is unique as he draw everything by hand (lots of work and dedication involved here).
kdeldycke··on Ask HN: Best light-weight bug tracking tool, more robust than TRAC?
Slightly off-topic, but if what annoy you in Trac is its setup or management, let me introduce pbp.recipe.trac ( http://pypi.python.org/pypi/pbp.recipe.trac ), a buildout recipe which can help you automate deployment and administration of several Trac instances.

And sorry to Hacker News community for this shameless self-promotion.
