Yeah - its incredible when you consider just how much the cash, and more importantly the stock they've already gained is worth. They are like a patent troll in many ways - keen to exploit as much money from someone without having to put in more graft themselves!
Its a bit like the paradigm of buying single songs from an iTunes album, rather than being forced to buy the whole album with the rubbish songs too - a step forward!
Agree re: Facebook login, great if you want it associated with your FB account, but what if you don't? I'd rather have a raft of possible logins - including OpenID.
Well said (and the same to the OP). I'm a big fan of GitHub, but there's no reason to line up SF with Bin Laden and Saddam - that seems a little OTT, even if the SF interface is clunky! [1]
