Guess its a weird question but does anyone know what the make of propelling pencil is in the photo of their drafting process? I'd be keen to lay my hands on one!

'... most doctors seem arrogant, uncaring, and incompetent' - it's unfortunate if this is your take-home from meeting doctors, but I have to say that is a serious overstatement.
Just an FYI, all your results are in percentages, where the total is never given throughout the article. 'about 30' participants is a throwaway gesture - if one wants to actually gauge the quality of the stats, you need an accurate total, and surely 'about 30' could be replaced with the single figure?
I agree - I'd rather people wrote their opinion, in a respectful manner of the counterpoint view, but without a need to apologise first for disagreeing! Discussions always demand alternative views, and apologising for entering the discussion seems pointless!
I'd imagine on the whole due to cost. Heroku, for example, is a great stack, but costs a significant amount if you aren't flush with cash. This can be run on a small ec2 instance for a fraction of the cost, whilst it does have greater administrative overhead.
Nginx+n performs pretty well in general against Apache, and in my experience nginx as a front to something like uWSGI for Django is very easy to set up and use. There was a comparison of the various Nginx+n stacks, I think Nginx+uWSGI won out, with Gunicorn in a close second.
I found it interesting 'I got my hands on a PC to use as a web server (thanks Andrea!). Before I could get started on it though, I needed an operating system to install' ... but the version installed was Ubuntu Desktop, rather than Server ...?
I'm not convinced the game is 'anti-iPhone', isn't the objective to raise greater awareness of some of the working conditions of those involved in the manufacture of smartphones (e.g. those at FoxConn etc.), and to donate money to causes who support such workers.

GUI's also fail to allow you to chain commands, like putting the output of a find command into the cp, or allow you to pipe output to other applications.
What the author actually meant to title the post was, 'why my Mom bought a phone which was ruined by Verizon and returned it for a handset they couldn't pollute'.
I'm slightly concerned that AirBNB are spinning this rather than just sorting stuff out. Veiled threats to the victim, whilst spreading incorrect stories are a concerning development in an already distressing case. If the guy in custody is the guy responsible, why are AirBNB and EJ not in sync? This smells massively of a total PR disaster for AirBNB, whatever is said about compensation or no, threatening victims, or telling them to 'limit access to their blog' is as naive as it is stupid - how does the internet usually react to 'limiting access'?
