jscipione··on Was the Nord Stream 2 Rupture an Accidental Catalyst?
Happy President’s Day everybody.
jscipione··on Declining sperm count: Much more than you wanted to know
We cannot trust our current institutions to solve this problem because they hate white men. If we mean to solve the sperm count deficit we must first replace these institutions with ones that recognize the problem and have the desire to solve it.
jscipione··on Reverse-Engineering YouTube: Revisited
Ok that’s an example of seeing spam comments, I’m asking about the comments you CAN’T see. For example the link says 3 replies but when you click it there is only 2 comments listed. Is there a technical reason why the reply count is not updated when comments are removed?
jscipione··on CPU of the Day: The Intel Everest Series
My understanding is that there was another use case for the “Everest” OEM Xeon processors besides stock traders which was to get maximum performance out of the chip while reducing the core count to pay less to run Oracle database with its per core licensing model.
jscipione··on Reverse-Engineering YouTube: Revisited
Why do the comment counts almost never match the actual number of comments? I know the answer is censorship but why doesn’t YouTube shadow-ban the comment count when they shadow-ban comments?
jscipione··on The James Webb Space Telescope is finding too many early galaxies
RIP Big Bang Theory
jscipione··on How Southwest Airlines melted down
When I was stuck in Florida during Hurricane Ian earlier this year my flight got cancelled 3 times. Having a ticket means nothing in terms of reserving a seat on a plane, it’s a scam for sure.
jscipione··on US Government demands direct police access to European biometric data [pdf]
This is yet another violation of the forth Amendment right to privacy by the United States federal government as outlined by the Bill of Rights which applies to all people, not just US citizens and is self-evident and inalienable. Democracy worldwide is in absolute shambles as the United States government abandons the rule of law in favor of absolute dictatorship.
jscipione··on Apple is struggling to build Mac Pro based on its own silicon
If Apple really cared about their pro users they would have launched an Intel Mac Pro update to fill the gap but they didn’t because they don’t. Pros were ready to jump ship after the disastrous iMac Pro was launched in April of 2017 which is why Apple held a round table discussion with members of the press in April 2017 to allay those fears by promising that a new modular Mac Pro was coming. Two years later in December 2019 Apple fulfilled their promise by releasing the Mac Pro. But between 2017 and 2019 Nvidia made serious gains over the competition which left the Mac Pro obsolete on launch. Fast forward 3 years later to today and the pro market has really started to abandon Apple in favor of machines running Nvidia GPUs. Apple is attempting to create an updated Mac Pro that will bring those pros back to the platform and to do that they have to compete with Nvidia and to do that they have to ramp up the GPU core count significantly which has been difficult delaying the product further.
jscipione··on Server stats say movetodon.org reached a new record of 49k users yesterday
None of those were a constitutional crisis except mass enslavement and the Constitution in that case was on the side of the slavers. Joe Biden is the worst President in American history no hyperbole. Hacker News mods are clearly on the side of censorship.
jscipione··on Want Your Country to Thrive? Give Geniuses a Universal Basic Income
Western nations implemented UBI in 2020 and 2021 in the form of checks and loans and we are now living through the disastrous effects of UBI as the economy sputters and inflation and high prices lower our standard of living and make all of our lives worse. In short, UBI has been a complete disaster and is not a viable solution to any problem.
jscipione··on The great Covid and smoking cover-up?
Not only was this study covered up, a Pfizer commercial aired that recommends oral treatment for high risk groups including smokers without disclosure of potential side-effects or a list of studies that confirm the claims of the ad. I’n not sure what loophole makes this legal but maybe it is because the actual drug name is not spoken and that allows Pfizer to advertise without listing the side effects by saying “ask your doctor if an oral treatment is right for you?”
jscipione··on Wikipedia Is a Source of Political Propaganda
You’re right about free speech on Wikipedia but see the linked article where the co-founder declares Wikipedia to be political propaganda. Primary sources are biased against conservatives when they come from left-wing propaganda publications.

Social media however IS meant for specific people to spread their opinions and conservative opinions are censored there.

jscipione··on Wikipedia Is a Source of Political Propaganda
Conservators feel like they are being censored because they are and liberals who support censorship are behind it.
jscipione··on Wikipedia Is a Source of Political Propaganda
Fact checks are biased against conservative views. Warning labels for left wing political ideas like global warming are attached to posts on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube which are patronizing and censorious. A quick search found dozens of examples that backup my point but perhaps a source you might accept showing Conservative censorship comes from Pew Research: https://www.pewresearch.org/internet/2020/08/19/most-america...
jscipione··on Wikipedia Is a Source of Political Propaganda
I trust the co-founder Larry Sanger, Wikipedia is a hate site masquerading as an encyclopedia. The valid pages provide cover for the propaganda.
jscipione··on Wikipedia Is a Source of Political Propaganda
Right wing views are objectively censored on social media and Wikipedia. “Idiotic rants” are valid free speech and censorship of profanity is a deflection.
jscipione··on Genes can leap from snakes to frogs in Madagascar
"Life, uh, finds a way."
jscipione··on “Twitter will be forming a content moderation council with diverse viewpoints”
Elon Musk repeated Jonathan Greenblatt’s line “I believe in freedom of speech, but I don’t believe in freedom of reach.” (which is not very journalistic of them) on a leaked phone call with Twitter management a few months back, so even Musk knows whose really in charge here: the ADL. So don’t worry too much about Twitter. PayPal re-reintroduced their $2,500 fine for misinformation just as the Twitter deal went through, so that’s the backup plan for censorship advocates.
jscipione··on The rise of biodigital surveillance
I suppose that there are some good examples of Government inserting agitators recently like the Canadian truckers protest in Ottawa and the Jan 6th protest in Washington DC. However, the government was not entirely successful at destroying these resistance movements and they occurred during a time of relative economic prosperity. Economic forces will have a major impact on the willingness for the population to resist en masse so it may simply be a matter of timing.
jscipione··on The rise of biodigital surveillance
Civil disobedience is a serious threat to the power of the US government. 19 states out of 34 states have already committed to the convention of states. The US Federal government knows all too well how to deal with violence but they don’t know how to handle peaceful mass non-compliance.
jscipione··on The rise of biodigital surveillance
We have a Constitutional Convention, enact a new Constitution and a new Capital, then release all the dirty secrets from the old (current) government similar to how documents were released in the early 1990’s when the Soviet Union fell apart.

The armed services, being part of the old government would lose their authority along with the rest.

This assumes a peaceful transition of power, if violence is used instead all bets are off.

jscipione··on The rise of biodigital surveillance
I remember them being controversial at the time and expiring without opposition.
jscipione··on The rise of biodigital surveillance
The 4th Amendment right to privacy has been so badly violated by the US Federal Government and TSA that the Constitution is no longer valid - the contract is beyond broken, the US government has descended into absolute dictatorship and it is the duty of all Americans to “dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another.” “it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
jscipione··on One store’s decision to leave San Francisco over crime
Because the police are only as good as the people giving them their orders.
jscipione··on The currency of the new economy won't be money, but attention (1997)
On Halloween Day in 1517 Martin Luther put up his 95 Thesis on the door of Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany. He expected an academic debate among clergy. At that time the Roman Catholic Church had such a stranglehold on the courts, media, education, and financial and political power that there was no way that a revolution of ideas could even be imagined to succeed.

But thanks to the printing press this all changed as Martin Luther’s 95 Theses spread across Europe making Luther the first widely recognized public figure in history. We call that period the Reformation today and it was the beginning of the end to the Catholic Church’s dominance.

In a similar fashion, the NWO has a stranglehold over courts, media, education, financial and political power and we have entered a new Digital Reformation that just as it was inevitable for the Catholic Church to lose its power during the previous Reformation, it is also inevitable that the NWO will lose their power in the new digital Reformation that is currently happening. Only this time, the Reformation is global and it’s happening a lot faster.

jscipione··on An account was suspended
In related technocratic censorship news YouTube has begun algorithmically shadow banning comments that go against the woke state religion. This is clearly evident by the comment count not match the actual number of comments and is also easy to test by commenting something negative with key words like “Clinton” and “steal” and then looking for your comment in incognito mode. Our Democracy is in great peril because people cannot make an informed vote without having access to dissent and it’s no coincidence that this censorship is ramping up as we get closer to the midterm elections in the US.

Ben Thompson being banned by Twitter is not an isolated event, it’s part of a larger assault on our human rights that is deepening ever more and more dangerously every day.

jscipione··on OpenBSD 7.2
Not exactly a BSD but as of June 2022 Haiku has included support for 802.11ac on Intel IAX WiFi cards using the OpenBSD iwx driver.

jscipione··on Apple bought out all of Newsweek's 1984 Election issue ad space for Mac
Ronald Reagan crushed Walter Mondale 525-13 in the 1984 election, so the ad space would have been a waste anyway.
jscipione··on How to download all of Wikipedia onto a USB flash drive
Do not store 96gb of anything on exfat, use ext4 or APFS or zfs or some journaled file system. Does NTFS really have a 4GB file size limit? Structures should match exfat so that part seems suspect to me.
