jpalmer··on Ask HN: What's the most simple way to accept monthly subscription fees?
Just used amember for a small project I needed to get up and running quickly. Easy to use, simple to setup. Downsides: requires apache/php.
jpalmer··on Tell HN: U.S. gov't blacklisted all DNS entries pointing to Linode machines
I agree. I work in a govt agency and while linode.com is blocked, I can still access my site that is hosted at linode as well as the linked site below in comments. Searching us-cert for linode, turns up the following: http://www.us-cert.gov/cas/techalerts/TA10-055A.html

jpalmer··on Ask HN: Please review my startup (fantasy sports mashup)
I like this a lot. I built a much less polished version of this for my use last year which only supported ESPN fantasy mashed up with footballguys.com ranking data. I didn't immediately see but are you planning on charging for this?

jpalmer··on How does Apple get this domain without trouble? ipad.com
I don't think so. One of the things you have to prove in a UDRP is that the domain had been registered in bad faith. Since it was registered in 1997, I don't think Apple would have much luck here.
jpalmer··on What would you do if you were Apple?
