Frankly, if I had a restaurant I would also try to crank up my rating.
It’s still useful though, the above experiences taught me to actually read the reviews, and read between the lines. It just takes more time.

This was not in the Netherlands, so things might be different, but probably similar to a certain extent.
Recently Cursor figured out who the ceo was in a Slack Workspace I was building a bot for, based on samples of conversation. I was quite impressed
And hence checked hn less
But maybe it’s just less interesting indeed
I have the impression clients like it when their code is “visual” so I’m trying to learn more of it to attract new clients
Our landlord installed a Honeywell home, the cheapest version, and it has no remote or timer capabilities
And especially in winter it would be nice if it would jump on before we wake up!
Not sure if that’s solved
Then I started thinking how this could be used in restaurants to see if waiters smile to the people they are serving Or in customer service (you can actually hear it when people smile on the phone)
Then I realised that this kind of tech would definitely lead to abuse
(btw that's not the reason I didn't build it, it was just not that easy to build)
I just mark as spam and or block the sender
Ideally I have a kale phone to note them
Because it’s too easy to go to social after I noted down my idea
Ai personal assistant who knows me and understands what I want
Ais chat among each other to figure out if their “owners” are good matches. If they are the ais set up a time and place for the first date
I use my Skype credit when abroad and making local calls so this is quite painful
I guess “paintings” is the right word here
Nevertheless the strongest association in my brain to the word “art” are probably paintings
All of a sudden I appreciated art!
Typical documents include my short term goals, my long term goals, my marketing ideas, my coding ideas, …
For each doc I defined how often I want to read it (every 14 days, every month, …)
Once i read it, I update the latest read date
The app then calculates which doc I should read next
Keeps me of the doomscroll
I built a cron job which checked the page every minute, and sent a push notification to my phone when the page changed.
I probably could have optimised it further, but this was sufficient for me to secure a ticket.
Maybe I should just delete my accounts and access them through browser instead
It’s not the current situation which matters, it’s how people look at the future
