Technology can matter, if you know how to use it. From your story it seems you guys went in blindfolded and just decided upon the technology on a hunch. That is your fault, not the technology.

Oh I know why, because it has major funding and they have some marketing blitz going on right now beating into people's mind that Meteor is great/grand.
