I've been using US layout since I was ~8. And all my other systems have the US layout. I am having such a hard time to get used to it.
I keep hitting ± when I mean ~ (why would I even need a ±/§ key on my keyboard?). I keep hitting \ when I want to hit Return. I keep hitting ~ when I want to hit shift.
Frustrating. Agreed with the "bad design" point.
Make sure to enable Handoff - copy on your phone (Google Authenticator, for example), CMD+V on your laptop. CMD+Tab to something on your phone (a Safari tab, for instance) from your laptop, and vice versa. A lot of other neat stuff awaits you!
const args = process.argv.slice(2).map(Number);
for (let i = 0; i < args.length; i++)
for (let j = 0; j < args.length; j++)
if (args[i] < args[j])
[args[i], args[j]] = [args[j], args[i]];
console.log(args.join(' '));
Didn't expect it to be actually that simple, but now that I wrote it, it makes complete sense.To PROVE it, is another thing. Good work.
That's actually the #1 reason to use any of these bloated development environments. And it's also the reason why it's so popular. But I agree, here we are, getting angry at bitcoin because it uses so much energy, but if I would need to guess, could it be that Discord and Slack _alone_ use more energy world-wide than the entire bitcoin network? Those are on 100% of the time on most PCs.
Also, it will become almost literally impossible to hear the difference in the near future, so I personally wouldn't keep assuming it's one or the other.
Also also, did you give this feedback to Jeff?
Mwua-ha-haaa.
So, one anecdote for, one against, it evens out for now.
Did you know that you could use a macbook touchpad like it has buttons? I've noticed it with my mother and my girlfriend (separate entities for the record) when I got them a macbook when their windows-based laptops almost died: they couldn't get used to clicking and pointing with the same finger, and fell back to their old habits of having a finger on the bottom left of the pad, and clicking that finger if they wanted to click/drag something.
So it kind-of knows what to ignore and what not to ignore / recognise intent of the user trying to do this.
When you combine this with "bottom right click = right mouse button" you basically have what you want!

Are you seriously asking why one would want a system to be more seamless? Less cognitive overhead = more productivity, period.
It goes to sleep.
Starting out with a common word that already has close to a billion results on Google requires a lot more effort.
