jboogie77··on Heroku 22 Stack
Been using it for 8 years and going strong
jboogie77··on Shortsightedness has become an epidemic
Anyone have an unlocked link?
jboogie77··on Ask HN: What novel tools are you using to write web sites/apps?
I like how this thread is asking what ~novel~ tools ppl are using and everybody instead is replying about how they are using php, css, Django, vanilla js, etc
jboogie77··on Academic “ghost-writing”: the cheating scandal no one will discuss (2020)
It’s because it’s a poorly written article
jboogie77··on Academic “ghost-writing”: the cheating scandal no one will discuss (2020)
It is and good pickup. That site has some really good pull and has managed to put itself in some really big name articles for pure seo purposes over the past couple years
jboogie77··on Ask HN: Ways to generate income when you're at home without pay?
Cant beat online "tutoring". Schoolsolver.com, chegg.com, etc. These sites are booming right now.
jboogie77··on Vitamin C and Immuno-Oncology
Good for you for staying optimistic
jboogie77··on Mumble – Open source, low latency, high quality voice chat software
Huge fan of mumble. Me and my friends still use it over discord. It barely beats discord for us but that small improvement over quality and latency is enough to keep using it
jboogie77··on FDA approves intranasal esketamine formulation
Good question. Honestly not sure, but I would assume yes as well
jboogie77··on FDA approves intranasal esketamine formulation
I listened to it on NPR as well and they did mention the patent
jboogie77··on Doctors ask engineers to spend more time in the hospital before building apps
The only nurses who spend more time behind the computer than doctors are those who are shopping. Unfortunately the doctor profession has turned from patient caregiver to note taker
jboogie77··on Stripe suspends payments to BitChute
Asking the most important questions
jboogie77··on Rainway takes a game running on one system and streams it to another device
No it wasn’t aurous. Check my other comment
jboogie77··on Rainway takes a game running on one system and streams it to another device
I believe it was either borderless gaming or his steam cleaner program. Tried to put adware into it and got called out hard
jboogie77··on Rainway takes a game running on one system and streams it to another device
Just a heads up this guy has been known to do sketchy things in the past. A simple reddit search of his previous products will bring up some questionable practices
jboogie77··on StreetLend.com shuts down, citing GDPR regulations
“can hire a data protection officer at a legal firm for almost nothing”

Out of touch with reality much?

jboogie77··on Generating inspirational quotes with Markov chains
This is similar to my site http://www.poemgenerator.com. Not using markov chains but concept is similar.
jboogie77··on New Thunderbird Releases and New Thunderbird Staff
Diehard thunderbird fan. Using it on OSX and Windows. Glad to see it still being updated.
jboogie77··on As Computer Coding Classes Swell, So Does Cheating
This should be obvious to any person who tutors people online. If you check out sites like https://schoolsolver.com or https://chegg.com they have become havens for programming questions. One could make the argument that it's partly the teachers fault for reusing old programming assignments. On the other hand, especially on something like school solver, there are plenty of programmers, living in 3rd world countries, willing to do original complex programming assignments for a paltry amount of money.
jboogie77··on Imzy is shutting down
Do you plan on open sourcing any part of the site?
jboogie77··on Ask HN: What do you use Machine Learning for?
Do you mind sharing a link to the research?
jboogie77··on How much money doctors actually make
if you think all doctors do is "just show up", i'd be curious to know what you think programmers do. Do they just "type stuff"?
jboogie77··on Michael Seibel, CEO of YC, is doing an AMA
you jelly?
jboogie77··on Isso: A Commenting Server Similar to Disqus
I browsed their website & github and have yet to find an answer to your question
jboogie77··on Isso: A Commenting Server Similar to Disqus
I guess one reason is that this is open source but really when I just wanna implement a commenting system that works I'd rather go with the one thats quickest to implement and gives me the most features.
jboogie77··on Handful of “highly toxic” Wikipedia editors cause 9% of abuse
... ok thanks, that clears it up
jboogie77··on Deep learning algorithm diagnoses skin cancer as well as seasoned dermatologists
Citation needed for this one
jboogie77··on Ask HN: What was your best passive income in 2016?
how many visits do you get daily/monthly to get 20$?
jboogie77··on Why and How I Switched from Python to Erlang
