jasdeepsingh··on Show HN: Create unlimited one-off Invoices (Built with AngularJS)
glad this could help :)

In the app,

Turn on Print Mode > Print

Does exactly that :)

jasdeepsingh··on Show HN: Create unlimited one-off Invoices (Built with AngularJS)
This is neat! for now, our goal was to just get something very simple out the door.. Create invoices, Print/Save as PDF and manage them offline..

Feedback that we've got so far has been amazing! Thanks y'all!

these are really good feedback notes, I'll add these in into our roadmap. We were actually planning to do simple Firebase based backend integration so that people can actually save their invoices and just send out links etc.

based on our working experience with Angular so far, it is well suited for both large and small applications. We are actually working on one project in Angular right now which is much more ambitious and frontend heavy than what this link is currently capable to show..

good point :) will add that to our roadmap.
jasdeepsingh··on Puma vs Phusion Passenger
I haven't had a chance to set this up with a Rails 4 app yet, But you might be right. Thanks for pointing this out. I'll update the article.
jasdeepsingh··on Puma vs Phusion Passenger
Well, I did outlined how simple my approach was in the article I wrote. The approach really works brilliantly for simple projects with one or two servers where you can log on to each machine and just git pull your code and run the migrations etc and be done with the deployment.

For more scalable architectures I prefer putting multiple of these app instances behind a Load Balancer such as Nginx reverse proxy. That is part 2 of my post :)

I'm running Puma in production for a simple project which we have behind a Nginx load balancer.

jasdeepsingh··on Puma vs Phusion Passenger
Pardon and excuse the self promotion, but just yesterday night I did a small blog post on deploying Rails Apps with Puma. The deployment part is really quite naive and I'm working on part 2 of the post.

jasdeepsingh··on Show HN: Kite - Create and share Django and Rails applications in seconds
regardless, I loved the Idea - It's like Dropbox for my apps. :)

How do I configure my own stack if I need to? For instance, I would like to use Ruby 2.0 and Rails 4.0 instead of Ruby 1.9 and Rails 3.2?
jasdeepsingh··on Canadian Startup Lands in Y Combinator Winter 2013 Cohort
Awesome news! As someone from around the area and actively involved within startup and development community in the GTA area. This is great news! :)
jasdeepsingh··on Show HN: my useless weekend project, add speech bubbles to images
Very nice! I'll echo thoughts of some one else here who said you'd be representing it right if you added "in seconds" to your tagline.
jasdeepsingh··on tabIndent.js - A JavaScript Library For Tab-Enabled TextAreas
This is really awesome! I've always wondered why is this not the default behaviour on a text area?
jasdeepsingh··on Extend Twitter Bootstrap with these Bootstrap Form Helpers
This is really very impressive! Loved it!
jasdeepsingh··on Create iOS Passbook Coupons for your users in seconds.
We created the app as part of RailsRumble and are not using it for monetization, we are also doing some spikes to see if it'll be possible for people to upload their Certificates and we generate the Passes on their behalf?

Probably we'll be generating the CSR's and having the users use the generated CSR to get signed certs from Apple and upload them back to us.

Again, we haven't yet launched this officially.

jasdeepsingh··on Create iOS Passbook Coupons for your users in seconds.
noticed this myself yesterday. we'll fix this as soon as Rails Rumble is over.

We are not allowed to update the app codebase at all since we are on Code Freeze.

Once this is lifted - We have tons of features planned. :)
