We are a fully non-profit and open project, if you still have doubts you can read the code to the extensions and install them manually via https://github.com/tosdr/tosdr-firefox (for Firefox) or https://github.com/tosdr/tosdr-chrome (for Chrome), and the other browser extensions are also there on Github.

And the rating is nearly done, the class should be up in a few days.

Many times grave errors like file deletion are really hard to reproduce because of special setups or other errors, that’s why we need logs and more info to be able to properly debug.

Sorry for the problems. Obviously we never want data loss to happen but sometimes it does, whether it’s error in the code or in the setup. Can you give me a link to the bug?

I also used to have a whiteboard on the back of my laptop lid. The problem is though that it doesn’t really hold up well if you put the laptop in a case or a backpack. Or if you carry it around it will smear on your arm.

Still I prefer whiteboards to pen & paper because I can make quick corrections and iterations (I do interface & interaction design). That’s why I just ordered a Noteboard: http://www.thenoteboard.com/index.php (I didn’t get it yet though so I don’t know how good it is.)

There's a simple pure frontend editor web app at http://litewrite.net - since it uses AppCache and localStorage you can also use it anywhere. Even sync with remotestorage.

The software being proprietary and if money is charged for it are two very different things. This case is about the former.

Still, it needs to retain the copyright notice and credit the original author. What the plagiarist in this case did is use it as if it was Public Domain.
