I was not aware that The Verge was still moving forward after Joshua Topolsky left, and their show "On The Verge" was cancelled.

I wish HN handled long horizontal scrolling lines on mobile better. It’s aggravating that we are a site full of programmers and we can’t get the basics of usability in 2018.

As with all extremes, the pendulum must return to its path, and soon we will see a return to a meritocratic approach. Approaching the lack of diversity in this industry from a hiring perspective is too late stage and short sighted- the change should happen with education during childhood and teen years in areas where there are concentrations of historically uninterested parties that are uninterested due to a lack of mentorship availability.

I want to see after school programs being arranged, charter schools being built, stipends for families who encourage this field of study, fair pay for the teachers who are selected to offer to service to these areas, extracurricular activities that focus on tech and following through with those that show any modicum of interest potential.

The change begins at home, and it has nothing to do with race, it has to do with opportunity to learn and the freedom to abstract your home life problems and concerns long enough to make use of the education without the preoccupation of where the next meal is or where you’ll sleep.

Kubernetes is the product I’d mention, if I were making this comparison.

These types of memory hard operations also have other popular uses; Keccak and other modern variants like Wild Keccak in proof of work operations which favor consumer hardware for example.

Well noted. There is another project that I'm fond of in the Monero ecosystem called 'Kovri', which means "to cover, veil, or wrap". It is a router that is i2p compatible, used to further obfuscate personal information for those who require more anonymity than the traditional transactional security of Monero. There may be others, as well.

Regarding OpenDime, I found these two relevant exerpts browsing the site, which were easy to find.

Block explorers work great. Is that what you mean?

If I give you a paper wallet or something like openDime? You now have BTC and nobody knows about it.

Your snark is noted. However, unlike those that come here to delay their day's tasks, I come here to learn and be exposed to new things. As such, humor has never been a quality I seek from HN, and it detracts from the point of being here, for me.

I'm going to let this one slide, because most of us are not working today for various reasons, but I must note, I've never seen this side of GitHub. I probably spend too much time cloistered in work projects to notice.
