Yeah, but the calm fades away when a big enought amount of people realizes that they are not actually part of neither side and they get angry about it.
Because they want their users to be able to communicate with Outlook users?
You are talking nonsense, they obviously need to play nice with other email hostings/clients; and with this new way of sending files it let their users know that they are two different ways of sending data; that is not really an email attachment but a link to your file in the cloud; a distinction that many times matter.
And they can't give the amount space they give in Drive to every gmail account; why would they do that? Better to be a different service that only the people interested in that kind of big cloud storage will take.
The majority of secretaries are female (not all); and is no secret that sometimes people hire based on looks instead of actual skills.
After seeing this answer there is only two possibilities; you are either trolling or have a psycological condition that makes you take any statement way too literal.
When people talks about a "dent on the universe" they usually mean people in the same time and age in the planet earth.
Lets talk about Google.
Productive in absolutely all possible ways. Cleaner? Yes Safer? Yes. Happier? Happiness can't be a metric because its way too subjective.
Cleaner? People don't need to go to a public library for any question they have; so yes. Also many people used to print before they know they could find anything anytime on the internet; so studying required a lot of printer ink and paper.
More productive? In the term that you search absolutely anything related to your field and you find it instantly; sometimes you don't even have to click the page because the summary already answer your question. The pages saved in cache are awesome feature.
Safer? People relies on their own gut much less than before; instead they do a quick search in Google about how to do something wish usually includes safety recommendations about the task.
I know I am giving Google properties that are part of overall internet; but if a house doesn't have any entering door It is useless doesn't matter how full and complete is inside.
I can only assume that you are very naive; for the average male is impossible to read this article without imaging a woman using the device; wish does not mean that there aren't legitimate and interesting discussions in this thread; but is clear that the exponential popularity grow of this article is strongly correlated with that fact.
For example If a boss needs to hire a good secretary for one of his employees; and assign him the task of finding one and then tells him "Don't let your hormones decide for you" is pretty clear what he means; that sexual attraction and gender should be irrelevant in the selection proccess and he should focus in practical skills a secretary should have. And there is nothing sexist about that; because sexism is discrimination based on gender and this is an enforcement for the lack of that kind of discrimination.
Is not only the fact that she is a woman, is the surrounding context of a sexual stimulation device that provoque so many upvotes. Personally I would downvote this if I could, I don't like my tech articles biased by hormones.
Speaking of wish the most common ads I get in Facebook are those where they trick people into agreeing to get expensive and recurrent SMS messages; like a parasite of your wallet. That should be illegal.
