You don't need to remove branding to disable tracking for corporates like Amazon. For example, They might have some firewall in the network which blocks tracking API.

itsbits··on Why Native Apps Really Are Doomed, Part 2
I hardly seen any OS changes breaking the browser APIs. Infact I don't even remember any such kind of situations.
itsbits··on Why Native Apps Really Are Doomed, Part 2
well..if you add up development of a native app for all OS, web can be easier.
itsbits··on Why Native Apps Really Are Doomed, Part 2
>Committing to a web app (for a user), and monetizing it (for the software author), is much harder -- especially on mobile.

Partially agree. Monetizing it is surely a big concern. But creating a web app is far easier than native. Big concern for me is the updates in OS which forces us doing changes and unnecessary wastage of time. Docs are also not proper. But unless you use frameworks like angular, web hardly needs those changes. Now a days I am able to do proper native kind of animations with help of CSS3.

itsbits··on JavaScript Performance Updates in Microsoft Edge and Chakra
Good to know Edge team is more focussed and working on different issues of IE. But Chrome is way to ahead when it comes to be developer friendly or performance or features. I am not sure I will be move away from Chrome anytime soon. Chrome extensions are way ahead. Browser sync is satisfactory in Chrome. IE needs to catch up on this as well.
itsbits··on Swift Programming Language Evolution
Agreed. I am yet to formally make my app available but had tough times mainly while doing Ajax calls, typecasting the JSON i got. Infact took time to understand some concepts like ARC, Optional Chaining when you are from JS background.
