inops··on Apple Sued an iPhone Repair Shop Owner in Norway and Lost
Possibly, but there's an obvious planned obsolescence angle here for Apple too. Perhaps people wouldn't so readily buy new iPhones if they could replace their old phone's battery, screen, buttons, etc for a more reasonable price from a "non-authorised" repairer. Perhaps they wouldn't get a new one like clockwork every 1-3 years.
inops··on HyperCard On The Archive
Seems the tech industry has a soft spot for British colony TLDs.
inops··on Percentage of Europeans Who Are Willing to Fight a War for Their Country
The article doesn't say how this was apportioned between men and women in each country, and if it was the same across the countries. I would imagine you would see higher percentages all round if you asked just men. Men do the actual "fighting" in most every case.
inops··on Taking control of all .io domains with a targeted registration
yeah...yeah...and the UK seized ".UK" from the Ukraine and this means...

save your politics for politics, not for a technology discussion. We get it, you're moral.

inops··on How to Own a Slave (2016)
How is Trump an autocrat? The congress, the supreme court, the individual judiciaries of states?

His dealings with these so far have been him backing down at every turn.

inops··on Ways to Read More Books
There seems to something of a cargo-cult mentality underlined in this article. Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Stephen King and Mark Zuckerberg all read loads of books (that's how they made their money!)

Unless you have some set goal to know a certain body of knowledge (as I presume the four above have), reading should be done leisurely -- not a race to read, and half-understand, as many books as possible.
